Seems to be working okay just make sure your bucket doesn't go down too fast could be leaking to the ground surface

This is a great productWe installed screens and lids to keep bugs,and other debris from clogging the holes.But it definitely works. You can make the screen holes in the lid big as you want (bigger to catch rain water) but this is working fine for our orchard trees. They really perk up!

These make watering trees so much easier and more efficient! We are having a very dry year and this allows the moisture to saturate the ground deeply verses running off on the surface. I have brought several struggling trees back to life with these!

These work great as long as you have plenty of 5 gal. buckets. My kids tag-team filling and running the garden cart with full buckets of water to the distant trees on our property. First season of use so will see if trees live through western Oregon's dry summer months. The only downside is it would be nice if these were bright colored and more visible because we have run over some with the lawn mower and they are expensive enough to not want to do that.

Used for several fruit trees planted on a slight grade where runoff or erosion can be an issue. This made it possible to make sure the roots were watered properly to get them established. Have worked really well. We used our own buckets and just purchased the spikes and gaskets as shown in this product. Only negative aspect was that the drill bit that comes with the kit did not fit our drill, so we had to purchase one of that size that would, so that was an additional expense.
