Great set of wireless ANC ear buds and better than Apple’s version at half the price
After 2 days research and much sucking of teeth, I ordered the Anker Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro via Amazon Prime and they were delivered within 24 hours. The unit comes in a quality box with all the required items. The quick start guide is very easy to follow. I have an iPhone 11 and the supplied corded ear phones do not fit my ears as they continually fall out if I move. The first thing to do was download and register on the Soundcore App. It tells you instantly that the buds need a firmware update which took about 5 minutes to download and install the 1mb file. No sooner had this been installed that they were asking to connect to the phone which was snag-less. I have also connected them to my iPad and Dell laptop without any drama. The App has very easy features to follow and use. I like the “HearID” function where you get a hearing evaluation to personalise the buds to your ears hearing loss. It is like the audio gram test that you take for a medical. I’m 59 so it no surprise that some of the audio range was dulled. The box has 9 sets of interchangeable tips so that when you start the Apps “Tip Fit Test” you can see which set gives you the best ear seal. I ended up with the L+ in both ears. It did help by trimming my ear hair after not getting a good seal notification and they are very comfy. The Active Noise Cancellation feature has 3 settings: Off, Transparency and Noise cancellation. You can toggle thru these either using the App or on the buds touch function. These touch functions are programmable via the App which is very useful. Sound quality is better than my sons Apple AirPods and the battery life is double. The little charging and travel case is small and handy. The 3 led lights on the outside and indicate charge level and sync. I like the auto connect when you place the buds in the case assuring you that the charging connection is made. The little led on each buds also flashed to confirm connection. Other features that are useful: remove one bud to speak to someone or listen fully and the music stops. Put it back in and it starts playing again; the ability to change the Ambient Sound mode from Transport, Indoor, Outdoor, or Custom. You can sit in a noisy area and play with the settings to see which is the most effective. In full Noise Cancel mode with no music playing you can cut out most noises. All you hear is a slight hiss and not as obtrusive as the Bose QC series. It is so affective that you can hear your breathing more that outside sounds. I used the buds all day in full ANR mode using podcasts and music and they were still not needing a charge and my inner ear was not irritated by the presence of the tips. I travel a lot on aircraft and have a set of over ear ANR headphones but after a 7 hour and 14 hour flight the ears are tired of being pressed on. I doubt these Soundcore units will be able to beat the over the ear pure Noise Cancellation without anything playing but I’ll report back on it. The litmus test will be “can that screaming baby still be heard on your 14 hour flight”? I have also used them to answer and make telephone calls and can report that they work superbly. In summary, for £90, I’m happy with them as they easily beat my son’s double the cost Apple AirPods for fit, sound quality, ANR, functionality and personalisation. Update 29 Jul 2021: After a few days of ownership and customising the touch controls to my requirements, I was getting perturbed that I couldn’t get a good seal during the “Tip Test” even when using the largest of the 9 tips. I could occasionally get one side to seal but never the right and they did not feel that secure when in the ear. So, I contacted Anker via the apps “contact us” and after a few confirmation of purchase emails, they sent me a set of larger tips in white. As soon as I put them in I could feel a proper ear seal and the Tip Test saw both indicating a Good Seal. I then did another “Hear ID” and the sound, which I was already happy with, is now amazing! My Daughter has the Sony WF1000XM3s and these Anker buds have a better all round sound. 😁 Hope this review helps you make an informed decision.

Nearly perfect
I bought these earbuds a good few months ago when my old wired Soundmagic E10 buds gave up due to frayed wires. Those lasted from 2012 to early 2021, and were... Well, magic! As far as sound quality goes, that's what these buds are compared to. It'd be unfair to compair them to a set of true headphones, for example. So. These earbuds. First and foremost, no, you won't look weird wearing them. They actually look pretty discreet and like they're meant to be there. Mine are a dark grey, too. Fitting - easy. They give you loads of "tips" to try on, just find what fits best. The app can test the "seal quality" too, but go with what's comfortable for you. Loads of choice. On the subject of fitting, I don't go running, so I can't tell you how they'd hang on. When walking or doing anything physical though, they just stay put and feel well rooted. I rarely need to adjust them, and when I do, I find it's pointless - they were secure in the first place. Connectivity - simple, easy, and solid. I do get random cut-outs on my phone, but that's heavily modified and running a beta custom OS. A reboot solves it for a few days, so it's a glitch on the phone. My tablet is stock, and these are solid - even ten metres away. It's unbelievable. They've got a more stable connection than my Logitech G933s to my PS4. Battery life. You charge the box, and it charges the buds up when not in use. Everything is extremely lightweight. I do a lot of walking, and use these for up to 90 minutes at a time. I've had the box go without charge for a week, and it charged back up in half an hour. The battery life is absolutely phenomenal. Sound quality. That's the essential part. Now, this is a mixed bag for me, and you might find things a bit different. I have hearing issues, plus partial deafness in my left ear, extending only to bass frequencies. Anything that muddles sound means I find it really grating, and I can't hear lyrics. It's just noise. These earphones excel. When you take them out the box and seat them in your ears, there's a few seconds while they boot up, then glorious silence. They just shut the world out. Fire up a high-quality stream or source, and you've got a tight, rich soundstage. The "HearID" setup is great, but I did tweak it further - the app is great for that - but if they'd add the ability to tweak individual channels and/or psychoacoustic systems, that'd be cracking for those whose ears aren't working quite right! You'll have no problem getting what you want from these earbuds, they're rich across the range. I do find they're a bit harsh at the treble end, and not as clear and "spacey" as the Soundmagic E10s, but it's nothing uncomfortable. I'm just splitting hairs here. Other matters - no more wires. Honestly, I didn't think anything of wires until I got these. I wouldn't go back... In fact, even though I have a perfectly serviceable set of these earbuds, I'd consider splashing out on the very best version right now in addition to this pair. One set for home used with my tablet, the better pair for general use. That's how damn good these are. I bought these at £129, and I see they're presently £99. I don't have any regrets buying them at the price I paid - they're quality, and worth every penny.

watch out Apple
Firstly these are the 1st pair of wireless earbuds I've kept other than my original beats. The sound quality has either been bad (albeit generally cheaper/under £100 type), connections kept dropping out (Nura loops), or very uncomfortable for small ears (Powerbeats Pro), or 1 ear-pod suddenly stops working (Jaybird Tarah pro). You get the point. Unwilling to pay £200 or more for a battery life of 4.5hrs & no volume function other than by using your phone, this was my last ditch attempt at an earbud that was comfortable, connected easily & would last a whole day. Just when I was thinking I'd have to bite the bullet & go for some Apple Airpod pro's, several reviews suggested these Soundcore LA2Ps, were as good/better or v close to being so. I was sceptical as some YouTubers say everything is great even though they can't all be, & not to mention the ridiculous head shake test (that actually would be better spent to move the jaw around to check fit) but when they were then on a lightening sale for £84, I figured it was time to try them. Whilst they are never going to be as good as an over ear, these are by far the best wireless I've tried & I'm definitely keeping them. The sound is great, ANC is good, I really like the ear seal test that helped me realise I didn't have a good fit that I thought, then also gave me a customised EQ based on my hearing. The EQ genuinely does sound better than the others too. Just to add to this there was a software download that added a single click function too, meaning I didn't have to find my phone to alter the volume either. Soundcore have alleviated my 2 biggest bugbears with Apple's APP's: namely, no volume control & poor battery life. I'm not going to have to sell a body part to get ear-pods that don't offer anywhere near what they could & probably could even do it via a download too now, (but won't because then ppl won't upgrade when the 3rd version comes out in the next few months, as anticipated.) These are quite simply astounding earbuds even at £110'£129 but wait for a deal & they become even more amazing for the money. For an Anker product, they might seem expensive but in truth Anker has delivered a product that isn't just a good but much cheaper version of something but have delivered an amazing and more affordable product that blows there other stuff out of the water in terms of quality & the price is definitely justified For those who want to pay double, I guess it's your money but I honestly can't hesitate in recommending these, I don't do so lightly, am no Blogger, Vlogger or any other "Ogger" that might get paid to write reviews. I'm just a middle aged person who was overwhelmed by choice & the plethora of reviews (that helped very little in their lack of true info) & bamboozled by marketing hype & wanted to write a review that whilst long, may help you try these rather than spend even more time watching Youtube clips on the best ear-pods that doesn't really answer what you'd hoped & invariably lead to you watching greatest life hack & cute/funny animal videos that suck hours from your intended 10 minute "quick" look.. Apple's may suit some ppl better of course but is it £100 to £150 better? Not even a close call for me.

Excellent Headphones, Good connectivity, Audio Quality and the Active Noise Cancelling is amazing.
OK, first of all, I am a fan of Anker products, they represent, in my opinion, good value for money and a quality product backed by decent customer service and warranties (fortunately I have never had to use the warranty on the numerous products I have). I purchased these headphones as a alternative to the elite brand white ones that are almost double the price and whilst I cannot give you a direct comparison as I do not have a set of those, I have compared these to my other wired and wireless headphones I have. All I can say is I am extremely impressed, the sound quality is great in normal mode which I used at home. The SoundCore app allows you to customize the sound and personally preferred the bass boast setting as I did find them a little on the bright side. I tested them outside today whilst on my daily walk, utilizing the ANC settings, I could not believe the difference. The drone from local factories was completely removed, noise from passing cars reduced dramatically, leaving clear, crisp sound with plenty of bass, simply amazing, I used the active mode. I was concerned that the headphones would fall out of my ears, but even shaking my head from side to side I they stayed in place and did not lose connection. All I can say get some, you won't be disappointed. More detail. The headphones once paired required a firmware update, that took a while, as someone else mentioned, just under 10 minutes to completion.

Good set of headphones, but has some issues which made me decide to return them
The Liberty 2 Air Pro are very good headphones and have excellent bass capabilities. The bass capability of the the Liberty Air 2 Pro are even better than my Sony WF-1000XM4 headphones. To start my review I am going to list the things I do not like about these headphones (and these same things have made me decide to return them to Amazon): TAPPING THE HEADPHONES TO INCREASE THE VOLUME IS TOO SLOW TO RESPOND The Liberty Air 2 Pro is too slow to respond to taps. The headphones respond too slow when tapping the headphones to increase or decrease the volume. THE HEADPHONES FEEL CHEAP For the expensive price that these headphones cost they feel cheap when touched. The charging case feels great, but the headphones themselves feel very cheap. BACKGROUND HISS SOUND WHEN USING THE NOISE CANCELLING FEATURE There is a constant low level hiss sound when using the noise cancelling feature. For comparison, my Sony WF-1000XM4 headphones do not have any hiss sound at all when using the noise cancellation feature. TURNING ON THE NOISE CANCELLATION FEATURE ALTERS THE SOUND OF THE MUSIC YOU ARE LISTENING TO. When I turn on the noise cancellation feature, the music I am listening to becomes muffled and loses clarity. On my Sony WF-1000XM4 headphones that does not happen. AVERAGE BATTERY LIFE Battery life is average in general. About 5 hours and 30 minutes with AAC as the audio codec and the noise cancellation option turned off and the audio volume at 65 percent. And if I'm using LDAC as the codec with the noise cancellation option turned off I am getting 3 hours and 50 minutes of use. For how much these headphones cost I would have expected these headphones to come with a larger battery capacity and last twice as long. For comparison, my Sony WF-1000XM4 headphones last 13 hours with the audio codec as AAC and the noise cancellation option turned off. NOT ENOUGH INFORMATION IS SHOWN INSIDE THE SOUNDCORE APP The Soundcore app does not show you the exact percentage of how much battery is left. For example, 95% battery left. Instead what you get is just a battery icon with no percentage listed. Which I find very annoying. The same goes for the headphone's charging case. 3 lights on the charging case, but no exact battery percentage is shown, not even inside the Soundcore app. IN THE SOUNDCORE APP THE CUSTOM EQUALISER HAS NO 60Hz, 70Hz, 80Hz, or 90Hz In the Soundcore app, there is no 60Hz, 70Hz, 80Hz, or 90Hz when adjusting the custom equaliser. So I can not get the bass to sound right. The custom equaliser starts at 100Hz. A solution is to use the Viper4Android FX android app which provides a vastly superior equaliser and bass options than the equaliser that is inside the Soundcore app. Inside the Viper4Android FX android app turn on "Dynamic system" and turn on "VIPER bass" and you will hear bass that is on a completely different level to what you can achieve with the equaliser that is inside the Soundcore app. NOT SUITABLE FOR LISTENING TO NON PERFESSIONAL AUDIO THAT CONTAIN A LOT OF SPEECH Using these headphones to listen to Podcasts or watch YouTube videos that contain a lot of speech is problematic due to the constant hissing sound I can hear when people are talking, particularly at the end of words and no amount of EQing fixes the issue. The hissing at the end of words can not be heard if I am using the headphones to listen to professionally recorded music tracks, but for general stuff like YouTube I find the headphones unusable. Again for comparison I do not have that problem with my Sony WF-1000XM4 headphones, or even with my Samsung Galaxy Buds+. Anker needs to add a Vocal De-esser option to the Sound core app to address this issue. THE HEADPHONES DO NOT FIT ENTIRELY IN MY EARS The headphones do not fit entirely in my ears (like my other in-ear headphones) and keep falling out of my ears. POSITIVE POINTS ABOUT THE HEADPHONES + Very good noise cancellation. Does a better job at blocking fan ventilation noise than my Sony WF-1000XM4, but the Sony WF-1000XM4 overall blocks more noise. + The Headphones will fit in the charging case and charge with the ear tips kept on. + Charging case feels really nice in the hand to touch and opens and closes effortlessly. + You can re-assign the headphones functions to different finger tap gestures. + The bass is awesome when the headphones are used with the Viper4AndroidFX app. EDIT: I decided to give these earphones to my sister. She said the Liberty Air 2 Pro has very good noise cancellation, much better than the Liberty 3 Pro which I have and she also tested.

Best I have found!
I currently own the Soundcore Life P3's. Briefly I owned the Liberty 3 Pro's but found them uncomfortable (for me) and nowhere near as engaging to listen to as my P3's and far less comfortable. So i returned them as they were more than double the price of the L3's. I know from a technology point of view the L3Pro's have all the bells and whistles but they just lacked that 'something' that makes you want to love what is entering your head space. I use a custom EQ for all my buds and it did little to improve my experience of the L3Pro's. So in short, what did I like about the L3Pro's.....1, LDAC....2, Auto pause when you removed the buds from your ears. What did I dislike about the L3Pro's....1, The fit (for me)....2, Unengaging sound (imho)....3, The cost (compared to L3's)....so, what to do??? Enter Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro's! Got them at the bargain price of £69 which made them £40 cheaper than the L3Pro's....✅️ They also fit as the L3's do being the stem style so blissfully comfortable....✅️ They also now have LDAC!....✅️ They have Auto Pause when removed from your ears also!....✅️ Most importantly the sound is as engaging as my beloved P3's but with more definition. I guess this is where the 'Pro' part come into play on them, so one last....✅️ Having had many high end Cans & Buds over the years I can honest say that unless you're overly picky the Soundcore P3's are really one of the best you'll get, easily beating many £200+ offerings. They are a bit more Bass heavy than the LA2Pro's but a custom EQ sorts that out. If you already have stem earbuds that are perfectly comfortable then it's likely that's the direction of fit for you (imho). With this in mind I definitely recommend giving the Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro's or the Life P3's a punt. I'm not in anyway suggesting the L3Pro's are bad, everyones hearing differs and they just didn't make the grade for me against my L3's for the money, fit and unengaging sound....the LA2Pro's however do. I am in no way diminishing the the L3Pro's, they just were not right for me and my preferences but I will commend Soundcore on the amazing app that accompanied all my Buds. You will not find a better laid out, functional app anywhere, period (imho). I hope this helps those of you who are at that 'not sure if I should' stage....however, due to the amazing customer service from Amazon sending items back is a breeze. Soundcore Life P3's for everyday use and Soundcore Liberty Air 2 Pro's for my 'Me time' with a fine Brandy and top quality sound!....✅️

Unacceptable quality of microphone for this price !
The microphone quality on these earbuds when connected to an iPhone 11 is horrendous! Absolutely unacceptable for this price range. I was testing them on Discord with friends and they said I sound like Im in a large room and the microphone is very far away from me. I then tested it using the "Voice Memos" app on the iphone and thats when I heard it. When connected to a Windows laptop it didnt sound as bad. And before Anker replies, yes I did reset them by holding the button, I did download the SoundCore app, I upgraded the software to latest version. I did all of that. And nothing helped. I will be returning this product. The sound is of course good but to be honest it is good on lower priced earbuds too. The thing is to get the quality of everything right. Meanwhile like I said, the quality of the microphone on these earbuds is just unacceptable.

Very very good.
I had a bad experience with true wireless earbuds from Anker in the past (although to be fair, their customer service was fantastic). However, this set have been fantastic. I've waited a few weeks before posting this review. I purchased these at almost half price during black Friday sales. The good: - Noise cancelling has been fantastic. I've used these on the train and while out and it worked well in both cases. There are 4 different settings, Transport, Indoor, Outdoor and Custom. - Battery life is excellent with the additional charge the case provides. - Wireless charging - Easy to pair - Small enough to fit into pocket - A wide range of ear bud sizes included. Comfortable fit. - Sound is awesome - Calls have been clear (and no complaints from people on the other end) - To me, the sound is better than my air pods - Customisable sound and touch controls using the app The not so good: - Controls using touch on the earbuds is a bit finicky until you get used to it - Phone widget needs app to be opened before it comes alive Overall, great headphones!
