When I looked at this listing I hoped that what I was seeing was right. I needed a micro sd extension cable that was flexible all the way from plug to plug...and that is just what I received today. Let me tell you what I needed this for: I own an original Crowpi; you know, the one that looks a bit like a clamshell briefcase, and I wanted an easier way to exchange sd cards rather than having to remove the screws that hold the Raspberry Pi in the case and then put them back when the card is switched. Most of the extenders I saw looked as though the male plug had too much rigid plastic attached to it and I was not confident that they would fit into the small space between the Pi and the case. However, this one looked like it had a good chance of fitting, so I took the chance and ordered it. Success! The extender is a perfect fit as well as being just about the perfect length. After installing the extender in the Raspberry Pi and bolting the Pi back in place I realized there could be some metal to metal issues and so I settled on pushing the female end (the end containing the sd card) into a small plastic bag. I will come up with something better, but for now I'm in business. Swapping sd cards is a much easier thing to do now that I don't have to do any disassembling. I'm sure you've looked at the other reviews where they tell you how to open the card holder, so I won't say anything about that. I will echo the sentiment of one reviewer who indicated that the mechanism gives no feedback when it closes...in other words there is no satisfying click that you can hear or feel that would give you confidence that the card is securely held inside. Still, it appears to be holding tightly and so I will give it the benefit of the doubt and trust it till it proves me wrong. Meanwhile my original Crowpi can have its sd card changed as easily as my Crowpi2 can, and that is one advantage that no longer exists.

I tried to connect this to my computer but the micro sd card would not plug in through the slot (which is in a weird place). The device plugged into the computer all right but when I opened the cover to install it the cover would not stay closed, even after I removed the card.Does not work at all.

ドライブレコーダーの延長用として買いました。まずカードを挿す側ですが、差し込むタイプではなくカードを端子の上に置いて蓋を閉めるタイプです。この蓋がくせ者で、ただ乗ってるだけで固定されてないのでカードがすぐに外れます。外れないようにする工作が必要です。また、MicroSDカードの接触不良をよくおこします。次にMicroSDのオス側ですが、カチッと刺さるにはささりますが、すぐに抜けます。車のように常に振動を与え続けると少しずつ抜けていきます。固定ができないので全く使えません。よく見るとMicroSDカードと形状がコンマ数ミリ小さく形状が違う箇所もあります。これでは使えないですね

It works pretty well on my Raspberry Pi 4 and zero cases. I can reach the Micro SD with no problem although the mechanism is a bit difficult to manipulate with only one hand. I would prefer a spring loaded extension in the future. The length of the extension is perfect as the other ones that I've seen are about 15 to 30 cm in length.
