Worx Wx261L.9 20V Power Share Brushless Impact Driver (Tool Only)

I bought this driver to allow me to use my other 20v batteries, but it was not to be. I ended up having to order the SPECIFIC 20v battery (and charger!) to make this work. My other “universal” batteries don’t fit this driver, although all of them say “universal, share, etc…”. Aside from the additional cost, the driver worked at a very slow rotation speed, until i realized a button on the device that allowed me to select an increasing power level, making it a truly powerful drill/driver comparable to my other DeWalt drivers. I was cussing this 20v system until I discovered the button, and am now very pleased with the purchase. The hex chuck is very positive and locks indented bit securely. Great replacement for my DeWalt drivers, but would have liked to have been better informed about the 20v battery compatibility.

So I'm sure the product is great, but it's getting 1 star because I can't use it with my Worx powershare battery bought in Australia. Worx appear to have different battery connections in different countries. Strangely, Amazon AU are directly supplying devices that don't work with the Australian worx powershare batteries, but don't mention this anywhere. So if you're in Oz and have worx cordless already, you need the wx261.9 driver and NOT the 261l.9.

Works very well, just be aware that this is a "hammer" drill and would not be able to use for polishing, or anything with constant drilling without the hammer effect.

Great little impact driver. Have used it now several times on big projects and it keeps on ticking. Thanks
