Anchor Hocking 980R Presence Cruet With Stopper

Was looking for MADE in USA but was made in China. I looked up the company first, will research more in depth next time. Item works well and syrup pours nicely. Packaged very well and arrived on time.

This is a beautiful cruet. Anchor Hocking is an American Company that produces high quality glass. I have always loved their products. I ordered 3 cruets. The first box never arrived because UPS sent it back damaged. The 2nd box arrived with one broken at the neck, and the other two knicked by said broken glass. The packaging was inadequate for glass items (A too-big box with a layer of brown paper under, and a layer of brown paper on top, but nothing in between the glass, or wrapped around each cruet. They were simply bumping and banging into each other in this very big box.) I am happy to say that when I reported the broken cruet to Amazon, and explained the packing problem, they sent out a replacement. It arrived safely wrapped in bubble wrap, and placed in a bubble-wrap container as well. Hopefully Amazon will continue to teach employees how to safely ship glass. And the cruets are so beautiful, a quality product, that despite all the difficulties in getting them here, I am now a very pleased customer, hence 5 stars despite the now-solved-packaging issues.

Updated on 10/16/2016: I am dropping my rating from four stars down to three stars. New comments are at the bottom of my initial review. Nice little bottle. I bought two and use one of these to hold olive oil and the other to hold liquor. Not much to say except that they are as shown and described. The stopper doesn't fit very tight but does an adequate job of keeping the bottle sealed. The glass is obviously not top notch or very thick so would likely break if dropped or bumped against something else. I'm ok with the quality because I consider the price to be fair for the bottle. Edit Oct 16, 2017: I still like these bottles. However, I am using both for cooking oils; one for avocado oil and the other for olive oil and they both drip from the spout each time I use them. I found that keeping a folded piece of waxed paper under them helps keep the counter clean. Only reason I take off one star is because one of the two that arrived was chipped near the crown by the stopper. It's still good enough to hold my liquid but poses a cut hazard due to the sharp edge.

I purchased this to fill with anointing oil. I was able to fit the whole bottle of oil into it! It’s beautiful, the top does not move, and poured into my bottles with ease. It’s not too big and not too small. For perfectly into my tray. Highly recommended!
