These are really different looking, I like that they come in a set of two. As far as being hand painted I think it is the color glaze they are referring too as there really is no difference in the pattern on the sides or the inside alerting you to the fact they are hand painted. They are dishwasher, oven, freezer, microwave, fridge safe, making them a hit. They are on the heavier side for me, so if you have weaker hands or wrists you might want to have help moving these around once they are filled with your pie or whatever you bake, etc.

These are great looking pie plates and are definitely company ready. They look good and they do work well. The only gripe I have is the sides are bit straight and it's hard to get the first piece out. That being said, my pies do cook evenly and once you get that first piece out of the pan, the rest is easy. I've started dishing out the first piece in the kitchen and then I can use a pie lifter on the rest of the pieces. They are easy to clean (dishwasher) and they came securely packaged (in fact a little to securely -- took a bit to get them out of the packaging).

I love Wisenvoy's ceramic bake-wear and am thrilled with this pair of heavy pie plates. They work in the oven, microwave, and freezer. Last night my guy made two quiche lorraines. He froze one for later and baked the other for last night's - and tonight's - dinner. The crust came out beautifully, as did the egg filling. The sides are almost upright - perfect for quiche - but they'll work beautifully for regular pies as well. Or for casseroles. Or as pretty low bowls to hold fruit. The pans are attractive and would be perfect serving dishes when you have company, too. I love the looks - and the baking ability - of these thick plates. Recommended!

These are very pretty pans that are a pleasure to put on the table. I used them for carrot souffles, which came out perfectly because they also heat evenly. Calling the pans non-stick, though, is vastly overstating things. The souffles left baked on gunk that needed to be soaked and then scrubbed off. It did come off eventually, so kudos there but the pans are hardly non-stick.

I ordered these specifically to make quiche as I liked not only the design but also the slightly sloped walls. I find typical pie tins to be too angled for making a good and presentable quiche. These work perfectly for that and the shape allows for a more complete and uniform depth of the filling. These are solidly built and have a good weight to them. I have used several times and they bake evenly and wash nicely in the dishwasher. None of the design finish has faded and they remain a welcome addition to any dinner setting I might have in mind. I certainly don't mind placing them on the table when serving. Very elegant design pattern. I would definitely recommend these for purchase.

These pie plates are very pretty. I made a coffee cake in one and was surprised that it really is non-stick. The 2nd one sits in my Black & White farmhouse decor kitchen as a bowl for small oranges. These pie plates are heavy duty, well made, and should last a lifetime. These would make a great housewarming or wedding gift.

These pans have a solid feel to them, an they look like they have the thermal mass to evenly cook pies and other dishes. Looking forward to trying them out.
