You can’t touch this tool for function, durability and price
Had a Pex A job to do and needed to get up and running inexpensively.I couldn’t swing the cost for the battery powered rigs. This perfectly did the job. PLUS, I didn’t need to hit the gym.You will need to think through how you assemble any areas that will restrict the swing of the tool.

It will expand your propoex... what else you could you want.
When you open it up you think, I paid 180$ for this? Seems steep if all you need it for is a couple of fitting and ur done, but well worth it if your doing a whole house. I was doing a remod with just a few connections. One of my connections was in a crawl space and very hard to get to. Was very hard to expand the 3/4 pex in such a tight space and at arms legnth, but after a few mins and rest breaks, i got it all the way . Other than that that all the other connections were a breeze and very easy. Moral of the story, expect this thing to be a challenge in tight spaces with the larger fittings, but easy with any size in open spaces.

This tool is perfect!
I have been putting off running PEX A in my house because I couldn’t justify the cost of the tool ($435). Just happened to stumble onto this manual tool. I had a blast starting the install this past weekend using this expanding tool. Should finish up all plumbing connections this week for a fraction of the costs.

Need to be strong
Works well but you need to be in good shape. Unless you're built like a bull I would get a power unit to do 1".

I haven't used it yet but looks like the correct tool for my application

The way to go if you're not going to be installing PEX regularly. Paid for itself on one job.
I had a leaking sillcock for my outside hose, and the inside shut off was leaking as well (after 30 years). My plumber gave me a quote of FIVE HUNDRED DOLLARS to fix/replace it.After buying everything I needed to do it myself, I have saved myself more than $300 and now own the tools to do much, much more.OF COURSE you have to rotate the head in the PEX-A pipe after every expansion (read the directions!)There's a technique to squeezing this / expanding the pipe, rotating it, repeat, then quickly slip on the pipe, etc etc but once you figure out "the moves" YOU'RE ON YOUR WAY.PS PRO TIP: if the plumbing goes close to a wall - start AT the wall and work your way OUT, versus working INTO the wall. That way you'll have room for manipulating the arms of the tool.In other words, using *this* tool (versus the $400 power option), avoid getting your back to the wall (on a ladder!). FIRST connect the pipe to what's coming out of the wall THEN make the connections inside the working area.

Should last a lifetime
I ordered this rather than buy the more expensive tools for the job. The price seems high for what you get and sure there is a lot of profit built into this product for 4 pieces. Now that I have it, I'm ready should I ever need it again- only needed it for 1 small task and could not rent one in town. Also this is not the tool if you are working with PEX tubing in building an entire house as it is a manual process and makes for long days using it.

Nice tool for a Handyman
I bought this tool in hopes of it lasting for the entire job. ( Replace all water lines in a 1040 ranch). To my amazement It did a great job and was very well built. Comes with 1/2", 3/4" and 1", I only used the 1/2 and 3/4 but both worked great. After reading a few reviews I was worried that it might be to hard to use the hand tool for that many connections but it was easy to use. I would recommend for someone doing the occasional job.
