The Ender Quartet Boxed Set: Ender's Game, Speaker for the Dead, Xenocide, Children of the Mind

This is one of my favourite series of novels from one of my most disliked authors but its always good to separate the art from the artist

Arrived very quickly. Bought as a gift for my daughter who wanted to read the book of the film and didn't realise that there are 4 books in the series. I believe that some of the content is about the ethics of whether a whole nation should be destroyed so she is looking forward to reading the books as she has very strong ideas about what she believes is right and wrong.

I haven't found these books in Belgium so I went online and after a long search I found this book-set and after reading it 3 times already I can't get enough of itthe first book is ok for teenagers but the other 3 maybe a little bit to deep for teens on the other hand if you love sci-fi and love some philosophy then this is an awesome readspoiler alert:the first book tells the story of ender as a kid and can be seen as a stand alone storythe last 3 books are 1 story made in 3 books that tells the story of ender as an adult and about the other aliens

The pack itself is really nice and arrived in perfect condition.The books are great too, of course! I think they're worth reading again every 5 years as our impression is likely to change depending on our mental state in life.

First I watched the movie, later I discovered the awesome sequels. The farther you go on in the series, the better the books become.Despite some of the characters being children / relativly young this is not a book for (little) children, but a fascinating study of human nature, xenophobia, religion and all the problems and chances that occur, if different beings try to live along side each other. I defenitly recomand reading it, the first or better the second would be a good book to read in school lectures, too, as it offers a lot of chances for discussions about society of every kind.
