Great Record!
Sound quality was great. No issues playing the record. Metallica has been such a big musical inspiration since I started listening to them back in the 80's.

Classic thrash metal album
Prefer the original version instead of remastered.

Still makes me jump!
I had this on cassette tape when it came out... I was 14, 40 years ago. I have a $60 record player, and this album makes it sound so much nicer!

Ride the Vinyl
Metallica, la banda de amores y odios, crearon esta obra maestra y hoy, 40 años después, suena mejor que nunca, la edición y prensaje notorios. Qué más decir...

This is a must have album for all metal heads!
There's nothing to dislike about Ride the Lightning ! It's a metal masterpiece. It never gets old. Sounds as good today as it did 40 some years ago. Every time I listen to it it's 1984 again.

Its worth it
I grew up in the 80's listening to Vinyl, but it was all my old mans records. Now that I am a grown man I can afford all of the records I really wanted to have in my youth. The sound quality of this print is really good. My metal collection isn't very extensive, unless you count Jethro Tull...ah ha ha... ha... oh God why..., but this has the best over all dynamic range of them. Will definitely order their other albums here too.As for the music, if you honestly don't know what this album is, I guess I'll help you too.Ride the Lightning is the second studio album by Metallica. The first one that was almost entirely without Dave Mustaine ,he's credited on only one song. With this album you still have plenty of "Thrash Metal" but something starts to happen. They start to really explore some melodies and heavier metal. By that I mean it isn't just speed and pace with thrashing chords. Instead they let long ominous chords echo out into songs. Perfect example of this experimentation is Fade to Black. It sounds great, and has all of those attributes, but is definitely a step away from Thrash Metal. This continues over the next two albums until you get to "the black album" aka Metallica. If you are a metal enthusiast, you need those 4 albums in your life.
