It did what was expected of it. Worked great for the parade float.

There is a plug on one side and wires on the other, power can be applied or tapped from either side, but the wire within the plug is a smaller gauge than the wire on the other end. If you intend to string more than two strips together then you may want to remove the wired plug and solder thicker wires in place in order to reduce dimming from resistance of the small wires to the plug. The plug makes testing and most installations easy, but hard wiring with lower gauge (ticker) wires may be preferable for projects with longer strings of lights. Don't make light strings so long that internal resistance in the wiring of the light strip itself becomes a problem (check voltage loss). There are quick connectors that can be used, but as others have said, they don't give as reliable of a connection as soldered wires. I've installed many these light strips to light up a barn, a shed, a chicken coop, and shipping containers, they work well for solar-charged 12v battery installations. This brand has worked well enough that I haven't felt a need to try others. The 3M tape has stuck well to wood, painted wood, and painted metal.

The sticky stuff on the back doesn’t stay in place for me so I gave up then used a stapler. These lights are amazing for my plants! They work on all types Of my plants including succulents. I do 3 rows of the lights per shelf. Not sure if any less will work. Surprising they don’t put off any heat at all. Made the mistake of buying a different brand on prime day which turned out to be trash so I’ll be exchanging them for this brand. Someone mentioned they aren’t water proof in the booklet however my experience has shown they are water proof. I spray them pretty often on accident w no negative effects. Other plant friends are surprised how great my plants look so they have given this brand a try. Great results so far from all of them.

I bought these lights to replace the blue lights on my travel trailer. Blue lights looked cool but not really that functional, not enough light. I had a little issue with the installation as these light strips are 8mm wide and my original lights were 10mm wide and slid into a track, I had to get a little creative in mounting the new lights. I installed them the way that they were designed and that was very simple just peel and stick, that simple. I haven’t used these lights on a camping trip yet but I did go out and mess around with my trailer at night when it was dark and the lights provided ample light, just what I was looking for.
