What the Ladybird Heard at the Seaside

Very nice book, my LO loves it.

A delightful story for a toddler. The board book arrived with slightly warped interior pages. Arrived in an Amazon paper envelope and left on wet ground on delivery. Managed to put some weight on the book to make it lay flatter. Seems to work and should be fine for gift giving.

Do sequels live up to expectations ? I think, NO. But, my 5-year old disagrees. The book was an instant hit. The kiddo loved the adventure of the ladybird by the seaside, was full of glee and mirth as yet again, the ladybird 'tricked' Hefty Hugh and Lanky Len. The cute glitter-interspersed illustrations make the book beautiful. The arrival of the book, ended up with us re-reading the earlier three adventures. I, on the other hand, found the book to be contrived. And did not enjoy it as much as the earlier three. But that is on me. Do buy, if you kid is a 'ladybird' fan.

I am a primary school teacher and my kids love the 'What the Ladybird Heard' series of books. The clever rhythmic rhyming throughout encourages children to listen carefully and join in with all of the different rhymes. A great story! Can't wait to read with my baby too.
