Does this work with Diet Coke as well?

Ours does not work with diet anything. This cup works awesome and we love it, but the other person that answered this - that it does work for diet, really made me want it. However, after trying many different diet sodas, we have come to the conclusion that it will not work without sugar or substantial amounts of fat, such as cream. Being on a low carb diet, we are allowed fat, so it can still work as a diet tool, but don't expect it to work with diet soda plain. I really was hoping for some diet orange crush slushy, but no.

Are there extra inserts available to have as spares?

Under the “details” it says it’s made of lead, is this accurate?

I see nothing but plastic if there is lead to help the cooling transfer it's not exposed. The cup works great especially with soda..
