Perfect for learning German
The cards came just as described. My 11 year old wants to learn German. These flash cards are great.

Noun genders in German are critical
These cards are well made and sturdy and appear just as they look in the samples shown on Amazon. One word of caution however that I hadn't considered when I purchased them. The gender of German nouns is important when learning vocabulary because the article forms change with different cases (nominative, accusative, dative, etc.) depending on their use. These cards don't have the gender indicated and don't include their articles (der, die, or das). In fact, the sample sentences sometimes use other than the nominative case, so you might find yourself questioning why the sentence uses "dem" for example if you don't learn the article cases elsewhere. For my own use, I tried to write the genders on the faces of the cards, but because they are so glossy pen ink doesn't stay on them.A second note: I'm a German beginner, but I question some of the vocabulary choices. For example, under the Health and Emergency category I read that "Doktor" is the word for doctor (physician), but in my classes we're told to use "Artz" instead.

LOVE
I am not a beginner with the German language, but these would have absolutely been wonderful when I was a beginner. They are helping me now, and they would have helped me even more way back then. I love them!

NOT IPA
I wish everyone involved in foreign languages used IPA.

Good quality but missing info about gender and plural form
For nouns the gender is missing and adding to the card by writing is not easy (I would say impossible) as the card is glossy. So I used the paint to destinguish genders. In addition, the plural forms are missing

Word on front of card
There are a lot of of words but the word is on the front of the flashcard. Not sure why. Also, I wish they were bigger for the price.
