Lots of applications -- one can painted about 15 square ft. of glass.
I used this paint to refinish some tables I got for free at a thrift store. The glass tops were terribly scratched and needed some camouflage badly! I found a tutorial online that explained how to use this paint to obtain a 'mercury glass' finish. It was really easy! All you need is water, white vinegar, a spray bottle, and some paper towel. I painted the reverse side of my glass because durability is a factor in my home. Mix ½ water and ½ white vinegar in your spray bottle, and spritz your glass lightly until the water beads. You don't want it to be soaked, just lightly misted. Spray a healthy, even coat of Krylon Looking Glass paint over the vinegar/water mixture until your glass is completely coated. Wait about 5 minutes for the paint to become tacky. Spray a paper towel lightly with the vinegar/water mixture. LIGHTLY wipe the paper towel over the glass, taking care not to press too hard. The areas where the vinegar and water beaded up will come away clean, while the dry areas of the glass should still have paint attached. Allow the paint to finish drying. I love the way my 'mercury glass' looks! I ended up using a contrasting color (Krylon's 24k Gold) as a second coat after I wiped off the first layer, because I wanted to have some color showing through. I think this would be beautiful with any contrasting metallic color. If you spray lightly, the glass will maintain some translucency. It worked fantastically as camouflage for the scratches in the glass, you can't even see them anymore, even when you're looking for them. The finish gives a very 'glam' update to these shabby-chic tables. Great product!

Creates a usable, pretty, antique-finish mirror
I can't believe how well this spray works! I sprayed the reverse side of picture frame glass, replaced the glass into the frame, and achieved the look of an antique mirror for a very low cost. The resulting mirror is very reflective (clear enough that you could apply makeup or find a fallen eyelash on your face). The finish is a little dark and muddled, like an antique mirror, but is still remarkably high quality for such an easy, "homemade" finish. It's important to note that you will only achieve a mirror finish if you spray the reverse side of the glass. I tested it on other objects, and when sprayed on the surface (on the side of any object that's facing you, not seen through a layer of glass), it is shiny and pretty, but not reflective like a mirror. If you are spraying a vase or glass jar, for example, you'd have to spray the inside, not the outside.

Good results
Turns anything into a mirror very easy. Fun Fact: placed in a bowl of WARM, NOT HOT, WARM water, for a minute, you can have an auto body finish on your crafts. At the very least, use in a warmer room. A few cents more than the other colors, but if you want reflection it’s the only way. Still cheaper than you’ll find elsewhere. Nozzle stays clear, a must in my book and dries fast. On these DIY vases, I was going for the antique mercury glass and used with vinegar water spray. I also used it to repair a worn mirror and sprayed the back of the glass. So fun to use

Must follow directions closely!
This is a great, innovative paint product! First of all, the spray nozzle is wonderful. It is very easy to differentiate the end that the spray comes out of from the other side that you depress. They have the side that dispenses the product marked with a square silver patch. Makes it easy for those of us who are visually impaired! Secondly, it truly does look like a mirror when used as directed! You have to spray the inside of the item that you want to look like mirror, not the outside. Therefore, using this on anything other than glass will not work. It has to be able to show through. If you paint something directly on top, the paint will look like just plain metal, this is the side that you see, but when you paint the inside of a glass, the underside of the paint looks like mirror. I actually saw on Pinterest an idea where someone painted the base of a lamp with this paint...which is why I purchased it. The look we were going for was a metal base. It worked perfectly for this. So, you can use it two ways: 1. to make glass appear as a mirror; or 2. to make any item appear like it is actually metal. I only gave the product 4 stars instead of 5 because they should have included a long nozzle attachment for getting into the bottom of a glass. We tried using this on a tall Coke glass, but it didn't come out good because in order to get all the way to the bottom of the glass, we had to point the can toward the bottom, spray until there is enough build up of paint, and then roll the glass around to coat the bottom half of the glass. It didn't come out at all. It just looked like metal. The directions are very clear that the paint will not work correctly and look like a mirror unless you spray a thin coat, wait one minute, spray another very thin coat, wait a minute, then continue repeating until you have done this 5 times or more. Well, it is impossible to get the can down into a tall glass so you can spray thin strokes! There needs to be some sort of attachment. Other than that, we really enjoyed using it and I will probably be ordering another can in the future.

You get nice paintings with this product, but the colour and glare are not exactly as bright as you might expect. We painted several glass objects and found the colour more like gray matte instead of bright and shining silvery tone. See the photos.

Se necesitan muchísimas capas, por lo que da para espejitos muy pequeños. Demasiado caro para lo que es. Es un robo.

Great product if you use it properly. Only criticism is they should make it in a larger can. Gives a great effect though and I would recommend it.
