After small repair, works great.
Under 10 pumps and the bar that supports the two cylinders popped out rendering the pump useless. Being mechanically minded I reinserted the support bar back into the hole and hammered the end over so's it can't slip out again. It now works great and inflates my motorbike tires without fault. Just be of this issue, it's an easy repair but shouldn't be required on a brand new item. Another thing is the pressure display is not reliable at all showing well over 10psi which is very, very dangerous and should not be relied on at all, always check your pressures with an independent and reliable gauge such as the AA Digital Tyre Pressure Gauge, which I use and is available on Amazon. Even if you use a motorway service machine to top your tires up always, always check with an independent gauge. So, after the repair, the pump actually works very good and is a worthy tool for your garage. Take note: This is not an easy pump to pump and takes a bit of effort, it needs to be pressed slowly for max air input not stamped on, so expect some complaints from the Mrs if she ever gets to use it.

Pressure gauge - useless!
I have used lots of Draper tools over the years and have found them to be mostly OK. This foot pump is the exception. The pressure gauge is absolutely useless giving different pressure readings every time you do a stroke. I was quite willing to accept a rough reading, that would tell me when I was near the target so that I could then use a proper hand gauge, but this is so wildly off the mark that it's pointless. (I agonised over buying this one and it was the Draper name that swung it - it won't happen again.) Note to manufacturers: Accept that most of your gauges are rubbish (it's not a secret, we all know) and fit an outlet so that a reliable gauge can be applied to the pump rather than having to disconnect the hose every time.

Quickly failed but can be repaired
Brought mine some time ago but the rubber hose broke after less than a few months use, not that it was used much either. When it was working the double pumps did provide plenty of puff which quickly inflated whatever type of tire I was inflating, which for me was either a bicycle, wheelbarrow, or car. Gauge was completely useless so don’t rely on it giving you anywhere near an accurate reading. The foot pump I had prior to buying this one (also a Draper) quickly failed due to the pump rod wearing away the thin rear pump casing, something they seem to have reinforced with this model. Somehow I think they have recouped the extra production costs by lowing the grade of rubber used.I will not be buying another Draper product again, even though the defect I had could be repaired by cutting the hose and refixing it with a crocodile clip.

Terrible build quality. Broke on first use.
This item actually broke in two places on its first use. I bought a Draper based on the fact I have a few Draper tools and all have been reliable. The build quality on this is woeful and I wouldnt expect any of them to last at all. This will let out air when releasing and securing the valve. Not ideal but you can work around this by slightly overinflating.Whilst pumping a car type from flat to 33psi I only got as far as 15 psi before air started escaping around the gauge, a quick look and it was obvious the plastic connection joing the gauge to the main body wasn't up to the job and had nearly torn clean through from the pressure.Whilst packaging it up for return I also noticed the glass on the front of the gauge was lose and further inspection showed it wasnt connected at all and came completely away from the housing. The body of the pump is poorly built and has high lateral movement when pressing down. Also only the last 2-3 inches of the downward cycle actually pushes any air through indicating a poor valve connection to the tyre. All in all a very shoddy piece of equipment that I'm disheartened to see the Draper name attached to.

Utterly useless
So much for buying an "Amazon's Choice" recommended product. This is a dreadful foot pump. The connector is hard to attach/undo without letting air out of the tyre you are trying to inflate. The pressure gauge is described in small print on the pump as "only a guide". It is worse than that. When you get it attached it reads, say, 20psi but as soon as you pump once it changes to 25psi yet the real pressure in the tyre hasn't changed and if you detach and reattach it reads 20psi again. Dreadful. Also, whilst it has two cylinders they are so small in capacity it takes longer than a good single barrel pump to do the job. I am now a chastened purchaser and will avoid "Amazon's Choice" in future. Do not buy this pump.
