Some strange design choices but it remains my only solution
I have the XRPro geared tripod head. It’s pretty much the only one I’ve ever seen that gives me the precision that I need when doing a accurate photography. All my cameras and other tripods use Arca Swiss and it’s a great system. I love it. Unfortunately, not only does the XRpro use the Manfrotto RC2 plate, but it is integral to the system so it cannot be changed out like so many other tripods allow. For years this is caused me unending aggravation, and then I discovered this adapter. It’s compact so it doesn’t have a lot of height. there are a couple alternatives to this but they basically involve stacking both kind of plates and it’s a lot more bulky and unstable than this adapter is. with this adapter I can finally just grab my tripod and go in and shoot and not have to worry about how I’m going to mount my camera. And it allows me to switch out cameras which I cannot do before because I would only ever had one set up for the weird RC2 plate. And because the plate and bracket attached at a single point only, the camera would turn and slip down as the RC2 twisted against the Arca bracket with the weight of the camera. Now I get the best of both worlds. Precision framing with a very fine gear adjustment and the convenience of the Arca Swiss quick release system. And I only have to add less than a centimeter of height to my mount. The build quality seems decent. It may not be up to the level of Really Right Stuff but it’s not cheap either. There is a little trouble in paradise however. Not so much for me as for some others. But as you see in the pictures the Swiss mount is at a right angle to the long side of the RC2 plate. The footprint is square so they could’ve done it the other way. I’m not sure why they chose to do this. It’s a shame that the bolt pattern on the adapter is rectangular or you could actually disassemble this mount and fix the problem. This isn’t as much of a problem for me as pan/tilt people because the XRPro is 6 axis and my forward and back and side to side just end up reversing. It does mean that I have to point the tightening pin forward and my handles are now facing me instead of more conveniently off to the side. But I still get full function of the tripod. And I can even see all of the bubble levels. The other issue is lack of safety pen in the art of Swiss melt which I’m assuming was done to keep cost down. I’m pretty careful photographer and I baby my equipment but that pen has saved my stuff more than once. So I have to remind myself to be extra careful. Because I’m aware I’m using an adapter I usually triple check that everything’s secured properly and tight before I start to move around.I’m tempted to give this five stars simply because it’s the only solution of its kind around for my particular problem. But it doesn’t work for some and for others there are better options. My ideal solution would be to replace the Manfrotto socket completely with an Arca Swiss compatible plate. If that’s an option for you I would take it. It’s not for me as you can see the gearhead itself is molded around the plate.

GREAT product!
I LOVE these Hoage Arca Swiss adapters! Bought three of them so I can continue using my Manfrotto tripod. Works perfectly, is rugged, very secure, and very well built. I use mine all the time! Buy it and you certainly won’t regret it. The OLNY quirk with these is that they mount 90 degrees to the Manfrotto base plate which is a bit odd. If you have a 3-way head, like I do, your vertical arm and angle arm wind up being reversed so takes a little getting used to. With the Hoage Arca Swiss/Manfrotto adapter the arm that controls the tilt of the camera becomes the angle control. And your angle control is changed to tilt. For a ball head, though you won’t notice the difference whatsoever. They should have designed it so the 3-way arm function would remain the same, but honestly I don’t care - the product is that good. It’s worth every penny. Even with the design quirk I’d buy another in a heartbeat. One note of caution, though (which really is my only criticism) - periodically check the base screws (there are four) to ensure it’s tight! If you find the camera is wobbling a bit, just take it off and tighten the four screws and you’re back in business. This has happened to two of them and I expect it to be the case for my third one as well. I use it with my Nikon D850 and Promaster L-bracket and old Manfrotto 3030 head. Bravo, Hoage! BravoTo Haoge: can you please rotate the base Manfrotto plate 90 degrees or in doing so would the tightening arm interfere with a Manfrotto head? I don’t think so. It would be greatly appreciated and make this an absolutely PERFECT product!

Better than OEM
Manfrotto head spring binds up. This is just a nice solid clamp.

Good, basic option
It is of good quality and I've had no issues with it operating smoothly and holding mounting plates tightly. It has stayed put on my Manfrotto tripod. There is no spirit level, so that's kind of a bummer. But other than that, it's fine.

Does not work with the Manfrotto 128RC Fluid Head..
It looks to be of high quality metal. The two levels seem to be of sub par quality, but they do the job. This works well with my Manfrotto 244RC Friction Arm. However, on my 128RC Fluid Head, the knob to tighten the arca swiss plate sits against the fluid head and there is no way to tighten it. Disappointing because I purchased this specifically for that fluid head and now have it on the Friction Arm which I use much less. If this company can lower the price slightly, use premium levels, and give the tightening knob more clearance, they would get 5 stars across the board.

Works Great
I've had an old Manfrotto 496RC2 Ball Head sitting on the shelf for years because I had switched to Arca-Swiss L-Brackets on all my cameras some time ago. Needed a bullhead for the tripod I use mostly for macro and close up photography. I figured somewhere there had to be some kind of conversion kit or adapter to make this ball head usable again. Bingo! This is the one. So far it seems secure and easy to use. Seems to be well made and easy to use.

Perfect Fit
The Haoge CP-MA90 Quick Release Plate is exactly as described. It's extremely well made (as are all the Haoge products I have owned) well machined, has a nice finish and the mechanism operates smoothly. It's also all metal! As you can see from the photos, it fits perfectly on my iFootage Komodo K5 Fluid Head.I have tried it with several different Arca-Swiss style plates including one by Peak Design, Breakthrough Photography, the Fujifilm X-Pro2 metal hand grip and a generic baseplate. They all fit. It's a great solution for those who have Arca-style baseplates on their cameras and don't want to have to add a plate each you mount a camera to your video head. Five stars. Highly recommend.

Easy conversion
I easily converted my Manfrotto MHXPRO ball head to Arca in minutes with this kit. The clamp accepts all the the Arca type dovetail plates I have from various brands, cages and L-brackets.

Aceptable
El producto es de buena calidad. Sin embargo, su diseño obliga a rotar la base de manera que la cámara queda orientada a un costado y no al frente de una cabeza de 3 movimientos.

A drop in replacement for a Manfrotto tripod
I bought this to convert an otherwise excellent Manfrotto tripod head to an Arca Swiss compatible head. This is a bit cheaper than the official one and does the job perfectly.
