How long does the smell last after you put it on?

The smell lasts a while but gets faint fairly quickly. At first it smells like Vicks Vapor Rub but definitely not as intense and then it turns into a floral kind of scent. I'm very sensitive to odors but this definitely fades away to the point you can barely smell it after 30 minutes or so. But even 5 minutes after you apply it, it is VERY mild. As an aside, the relief you get from itching is incredible with this product.

can i use sarna for my small dogs itching?

I use it on my Yorkie. I don’t know if you can, but I do and I also use hydrocortisone cream and that I do know you can use on dogs.

Can you use it on your face for dry skin?

Other than the less than pleasant odor I see no reason not to use it on your face. Though I use it primarily for itching attacks as there are better products for dry skin.
