App will not download - camera is useless without the app so no idea if it’s any good or not. After further digging I have found that the UAE is not a supported country for the app. If you live in the UAE do not waste your money.

Dopo un primo tentativo di installazione (e test) della telecamera - ecco quanto ho raccolto dall'uso della nexar pro. La mia motivazione per l'acquisto di questa telecamera era di avere un dispositivo sempre connesso (24x7) che si attivasse ad ogni urto oppure ogni viaggio onde documentare SUBITO online (fuori dalla macchina) alcuni eventi (scasso, furto) importanti, prima di essere rimossa da un ladro. Come cellulare uso un huawei mate 20, del 2019 (un top di gamma huawei). Al momento (agosto 2023) ci sono tante offerte di telecamere online, tutte con allaccio bluetooth e/o wifi (quest'ultimo un po meno) ad una APP su di un cellulare (supposto con connessione internet sempre attiva) - questa sembra essere l'unica ad "offrire" (oltre al suo prezzo abbastanza fiero) una connessione cloud senza costi aggiuntivi dove memorizzare i video. Vantaggi: 1) Il vantaggio (forse l'unico) è la possibilità di connettere la telecamera via una Nexar APP ad un servizio gratuito di cloud streaming, che riceve, memorizza e rimette in condivisione i video provenienti dalla telecamera. 2) Nexar offre inoltre un servizio (piu o meno gratuito) per analizzare un video memorizzato ed automaticamente masterizzato per creare una interpretazione di incidente per la vostra assicurazione (documento). 3) FLASCH-Card di serie 4) seconda telecamerina (che a mio avviso non ha senso per l'interno, bensi per l'esterno e fintanto che nessuno è penetrato all'interno del veicolo - in quanto tutte e due le telecamere ben visibili si possono strappare con "piacevolezza"). Potete usarla (usando un cavo di prolunga) per guardare dal vetro del retro del veicolo. Svantaggi: 0) Non esiste screen per controllare i parametri, la telecamera richiede l'uso di una APP connessa ad essa. 1) La risoluzione della telecamera permette video in 1080p/720p. Non male ma nel mercato si ottengono gia le 4K. Forse del 4K non ce n'e' proprio bisogno. Il 720p mi pare sia già sufficiente per creare una prova in caso di furto o danneggiamento. 2) La telecamera avvia dei minivideos da circa 111MB l'uno che memorizza subito su FLASH-Card. A seconda della compatibilita con il cellulare che contiene la APP (e la velocita della connessione internet) vi appare poi per ogni set rilevante di minivideos un video completo. Ma dovete aspettare - che tutti i minivideos (con dati GPS) vengano trasmessi e ricevuti dal cloud per potere poi usufruire di un video geolocalizzato dentro la APP. Inoltre i minivideos contengono AUDIO anche se lo avete esplicitamente "proibito" nelle impostazioni della APP. Questa e' a mio avviso una MINACCIA alla PRIVACY. Nella APP appaiono i video senza audio ma sulla flash card l'audio c'e'. A voi la decisione. 3) La telecamera per funzionare 24x7 anche in remoto ed essere collegata con il servizio online (cloud) ha comunque bisogno di a) allaccio alimentazione continua 12V (via accendisigari o USB ports) e b) connessione della Nexar APP su cellulare continua e buona ricezione. Quindi per avere una protezione 24x7 dovete o lasciare il vs. cellulare multi-connesso in auto oppure comprarvi un cellulare ed una scheda con piano dati dedicati da potere lasciare in macchina sotto continua alimentazione e connessione. 4) La (ben visibile!) telecamera (quando inizia) comincia a memorizzare il video su flashcard. Se non riesce a fare lo streaming perche non è connessa con una APP connessa ad internet (ad esempio in un parcheggio e senza conducente) allora il ladro può semplicemtente e molto facilmente strapparla e distruggerla, cosa che vanificherebbe un po tutti questi sforzi... allora meglio una telecamera che non si vede ma che riprende e ritrasmette, ma qui saremmo su altri prodotti - ed altri costi - evidentemente. 5) Nexar Pro sembra non essere compatibile con alcun dispositivo huawei. Nexar Pro è compatibile solo con alcuni cellulari della Apple, Samsung, Google, OnePlus, Xiaomi ed LG; finito. La consiglio? Fate un po voi. Di sicuro non è una telecamera professionale (a parte il nome) in quanto memorizza primariamente i video sulla sua FLASH card ed un ladro puo distruggerla molto prima che i video siano trasmessi, rendendo inutile la telecamera come misura di sicurezza on-board nel caso di intrusione. Una cosa posso senza dubbio condividere: Perchè per l'uso della cloud Nexar non richiede alcun costo aggiuntivo oltre al gia fiero prezzo della telecamera? Se vi studiate la documentazione/blogs di Nexar apprenderete che Nexar vuole cosi costruire una sorta di "stormo di telecamere" aggregato per documentare segmenti di strade/posti nel tempo, ovviamente dopo avere proceduto ad una neutralizzazione dei dettagli visibili (ad es. targhe, numeri, visi, persone). In ogni caso la telecamera (assieme alla seconda telecamera che io ho messo a guardare fuori dal retro) è usabilissima anche offline (senza la APP, senza accoppiarla) e cosi si manterrebbe la privacy a tutti gli effetti. Dovrete solo sapere come ricucire (nel caso di un caso) i minivideo con una applicazione di file management. Ovviamente si rinuncerebbe anche al riconoscimento automatico di sinistri (che a mio avviso... puo considerarsi secondario in Italia).

The camera quality on this is decent. 1080p is plenty for making out Reg plates (if there’s not a huge amount of glare). Unfortunately I was involved in a collision with a stupid biker a few days ago. Without this cam it’d of been here-say with the insurance companies. Thanks to Nexar’s intuitive app, hard brake detection and auto & manual clip generation I now have the muppet dead to rights as going into the back of me. Which is clear as day from the interior camera. Which was a pleasant surprise. Shame there isn’t a rear mountable camera too but angled correctly the inside camera does catch views from the rear and side windows Few side notes I don’t really enjoy; - I had a day of 4 hrs of driving. The 2nd 2hr leg over-wrote the previous journey as my allocated phone storage was set to 50% on the app by default. Therefore I lost a lot of footage. I’ve been on with the Nexar team via emails and they said I can up my allocated storage. Hopefully that problem is now solved. - I can’t say much about the night vision. I’ve not tested it. - I highly recommend buying a 3rd party 124GB SD with this camera. They are a lot cheaper separately. - The app can be tetchy but on IOS is does run well 99% of the time.

I’ve had my Nexar Pro dash camera since 2022, and it has been nothing short of excellent. The camera has always performed flawlessly, with no technical difficulties whatsoever. Recently, after years of use, the suction cup mount started losing its stickiness. When I reached out for a replacement, the customer service team was incredibly responsive and within just a few exchanges, I was connected to the right team, and they ordered a new mount for me. A special shoutout to Christian for providing outstanding customer service! I truly appreciate the support and look forward to many more years of use with this fantastic product. Highly recommend!

This is my third Nexar DashCam. Not that the first two were trashed and no good. But this is good enough for me to buy one for each car. Price might be a bit much, but it is priced right for me. This is my first with rear facing second Cam. So I could see front and rear. Not. The rear facing is for cabin recording, not rear windshield recording. I will need to test if I could use extension to move the rear facing cam to the rear windshield. I don't like Nexar different type of mounting system. The first two I purchased were ball mount, and this third is slide mount. I mean the connections from the DashCam to the suction cup mount on the windshield. Why don't they, all Cam companies, just choose one type. Quality is good for day recording, but night recording is not as clear. I mean like license plate, which glow and not able to see the letter and numbers. Nexar doesn't have LCD screen. It has MicroSD to record in a loop. I am using max 128GB chip, which should last more days. For real time viewing, I need to connect to my smart phone with app and watch driving on the phone screen. Also, hope you are good with setup. Because sometime the app start recording automatically and sometime it doesn't. For me, now I just connect to my app before I start driving to make sure it does recording on my phone. But you could always get recording from the MicroSD card if you don't need to see while you are driving.
