SUUNTO Authentic USB Charging Cable for Suunto 5, Suunto 3, Spartan Trainer, Ambit, Traverse

I needed a quick replacement for a misplaced charger for my Suunto 5 and wanted to buy a Suunto brand rather than take a chance on a cheaper, off brand model. This fit/worked perfectly and I thought the price was very reasonable.

Sadly my other one after many years of use finally broke. This was a perfect replacement and works just like the original. Given a special charger is needed like this one to charge and link the watch this is well worth it if you need a replacement. It is perfect.

This works well at charging a Suunto 5 watch, and it very much seems like an authentic Suunto cable, based on the performance, labeling, and comparison with the original cable that came with the watch.

The packaging indicates they are Suunto, which is generally a surprise when ordering cables off of the internet. Everything is working great. Docked a star for costing $20. I'm in the wrong business.

Works exactly like my original cord that came with my Suunto Ambit 2. I keep this cord at the gym (where I keep my watch most of the time) to charge it while I'm getting ready post-workout. It charged about 20% in the 20 minutes I was getting ready. Fast and reliable.

It's a charging/sync cable, what more needs to be said? However; I did find that someway somehow using this new cable changed all the settings on my Ambit. My screen contrast was changed, my profile settings (e.g. height, weight, sex, etc). Not sure how that's possible so be mindful when swapping cables. Was the oddest thing.

I'd read a couple of reviews that this cable might note last too long, so I decided to purchase an extra. So far, the original works perfect and I've had no issues. Therefore, the extra cable hangs on the wall--just in case. No issue with the vendor or delivery--would utilize and recommend the vendor.

I'm not particularly broad-chested, but have only an inch or two of adjustment left ... it wouldn't work for someone a little bigger. It doesn't do a very good job of maintaining electrical contact with my skin ... I've ordered some conductive gel to see if that will help ... even if it does, I'm not going to be enthusiastic about cleaning the goop off me and my stuff. Why not put a clasp in the middle of the strap so it could be put on without then having to then rotate it 180 degrees against skin friction and strap stretch?
