Je recommande vivement ce produit. C'était le troisième cable/logiciel de transfert essayé et c'était le seul qui a bien marché.Je l'ai utilisé pour transferer de gros fichiers video entre un vieux ordinateur (Windows 7) et un nouveau (Windows 10). Il suffit de décharger le logiciel sur chaque ordinateur, brancher le cable et lancer le logiciel. Ensuite il y a divers possibilités de transfert selon qu'on veut tout transferer ou sélectionner les fichiers individuellement.

In the past I have upgraded my hard disk several times, and used the old HD in an external caddy to copy files directly to the new HD once installed in my windows7 laptop.Now, I wanted to copy all my files from my old Win7 computer to a new Win 10 machine. I used this cable, the software and the drag-&-drop method.It was easy and worked perfectly.The cable itself seems well made and has a good quality feel. The software came on a mini CD so I merely downloaded it directly to each laptop from the Plugable website, using the URL given in the instructions that came with the cable.The software installed and opened on each laptop with no difficulty, and copying the large numbers of files I wanted was straightforward and efficient.On my old machine I had a C: partition for my software and an E: partition for my files. The online instructions for the software suggested that using the automated option to copy my files across might put my old E: drive into the C: drive of my new computer. I did not test that, I was in a hurry, so I just used drag-and-drop, having created C: and E: partitians on my new laptop (using EasUS Partition master, a great piece of software that I have been using for a few years).It follows standard windows features, in that you can select multiple folders at once and then drag and drop.The interface was straightforward and I am very happy.

This is a great product. It's so much faster than any other method for transferring files. I initially tried using a USB 2.0 flash drive and that was taking forever. USB 3.0 flash drive would have been faster than the USB 2.0 but I don't think it would match the cable speed especially if you're moving large amounts of files. So after receiving the cable, I downloaded the software, loaded it on both computers and plugged in the cable. Both computers immediately recognized the connection and brought up the menu. I wasn't interested in syncing the new computer with the old one, I wanted to get rid of a lot of junk on the old computer and start fresh on the new one. Couldn't find instructions on how to do this but after awhile I found the drag and drop feature and I was able to move files and folders just where I wanted them. On drag and drop you have the option to see all your files and folders by turning on the see hidden files feature. Once you do this you can transfer any folders or files. As plugable points out, you can't copy installed programs from one computer to the other, but you can copy the setup or install files so you can install them on the new computer. This cable and software is a big time saver. Great product. I've had other plugable products and only had a problem with one. They responded immediately and sent a replacement product. Great company, products and customer service as well as value for the money.
