Arrived damaged but great tool
Although the basket on the fruit picker arrived in a beat up box and damaged, Dream Store was quick to reimburse us for the cost. I appreciate their great business ethic and outstanding customer service.

Well built and works great!
I've purchased several Fiskars products the last few years since they seem to have a better overall material and build quality than a lot of similar products on the market today. I needed a fruit picker for my peach tree and saw this one was available and got it ordered. The main fiberglass handle seems very sturdy, as does the tension locking sleeve that holds the internal expanding pole in place. The expanding pole has notches that the detent is spring loaded to catch, then you flip over the locking sleeve. The plastic fingers with the bag worked great in freeing the peaches. Sometimes a slight tap upward on the bottom of the pole would be needed, and the peach would drop right into the bag. It was every bit as easy to use as the video shows. The only issue I had was that Amazon shipped it to me in this box that was long enough, but far too large in the other dimensions, the tape has failed and box was partially open. But luckily it was still in the box and undamaged, so no harm, no foul.

Works good
It’s a bit heavy but works good picking out cherries. We just can’t hold it up for long because of the weight of the handle.

Takes practice
I harvested peaches and it took some practice and adjustment of the head. Excellent fiberglass pole, that gives me more confidence in durability and unlike a metal handle, resistant to potential electrical shock. Shipping is very slow. Slow being shipped from source and because I'm on the west coast, the trip from the east coat took UPS 5 days. I would allow greater time in the winter.

Big improvement over older models
I have one of those fruit pickers that has an open basket with metal claws and a two-piece handle. Inevitably, the "claws" will snag tree branches and tear them off, while the nut that holds the two pieces of the handle together gets lost. And try using this with small tree fruit such as apricots or cherries! This Fiskars fruit picker has eliminated the frustration and improved productivity in the orchard. The handle is one piece, and telescopes to the length that is needed to capture the fruit. The flexible "fingers" on the pole will actually hold the stem of the fruit; a gentle tug pulls it off the tree and gravity puts it into the fabric bag. And those fingers can grab smaller fruit without any acrobatics on the part of the picker. I was able to harvest some edible crabapples (about 1/4 the size of a regular apple) and should be able to use this next summer on the cherry trees.
