I've owned an S2 Tab for some while, but it's battery life was going downhill with daily use. I also found that startup was slow and it could be slow with some apps. I wanted something better and decided to plump for an S6. So far it is showing good battery life (not as good now I've selected the charge to 85% option, but that may mean the battery will go downhill slower). The screen quality is bright and clear, startup is fast and it is significantly quicker handling apps. The one stellar thing I've found so far is the sound quality. Watching a movie, the sound is coming from all over the room - enough to make you look up to be sure it is the movie sound and not something else. Very very impressed with that - it makes for an immersive experience! Well done Samsung!

Had this tablet for over 4 months now and I'm just liking it more and more, especially... bixby, contrary to many reviews. With bixby, the in built assistant, I can program the tablet to do practically anything I want based on where I am or time off day or a combination. Bixby can also control other smart devices. It is really helpful. Of course, the tablet is also perfect in every other way, battery, smoothness, looks. A bit pricey but, hey, does the job.

It is a great tablet. Screen quality is immaculate, quick processing and lovely design (mostly). Minor gripe is s-pen is easy to knock off. And this tablet isn't cheap. Still love it though.

I put my unlimited data EE sim into this and used it to provide my hotspot, the speed it manages is phenomenal! Using my perfectly satisfactory smartphone for the same task, I would be lucky to download at more than 40ish Mb/s, uploads around half of this, but this thing, although not bought for this use, provides an amazing 94Mb/s down and near parity with 87Mb/s up, making everything so much quicker and gone is buffering when using my Smart TV for the iPlayer. OK, so it does everything else just as impressively, once I'd figured out how to get apps from the app menu onto the home screens in Android 10, which the device downloaded and installed almost as soon as I'd switched it on. Fortunately, 10 works well with this, and as for that apps onto a home screen issue: Open the apps menu from a sidebar that can be summoned from the right edge of the screen, then organise the ones you want to add to home screens into a folder, this can then be dragged and dropped. Once you have the folder on a home screen, just drag the app icons from there into free space and once the folder is empty, send the empty folder to the bin. It's easier and quicker to do than that was to write, if not as simple as it was under Android 8, 8.1 or 9 on other Samsung devices I've used. Image quality on the screen is clear, bright and has plenty of adjustments available for anyone who needs to modify the stock colour balance for any reason. I found a slightly warmer white for the background suited my eyes well and I'm not talking about any massive amount of adjusting being required, just a tiny tweak. I can recommend this tablet to anyone who wants quality, but doesn't like Apple's software. Android, as it is on the S6 tab, really does make this a viable alternative to a laptop for most users and the onboard sound? Loud, clear, treble that could cut glass and even some usable quantity of bass comes from the four tiny speakers. The overall effect makes this ideal for watching high def films in bed as the sound is thrilling on a good Dolby Atmos soundtrack, yet can be enjoyed at a level that won't wake up the whole household.. Unless you want it to!

As my iPad Air, once a nibble joy to use became an untrustworthy device through not holding charge for long, I began to look for a new tablet that would meet my needs. I considered Amazon's Fire offerings - especially on Black Friday, but I needed to be sure all my Android apps would be available. And along comes this - a quick & powerful (and beautiful) device which has more battery charge than I could need in a fully heavy day of usage. This is top drawer quality - in design, usability and performance. I went for the Rose gold finish - I love it even as a guy, its warm and inviting but classy. I cant yet attest to how its pen could rival the ipad pencil - I suspect it would come 2nd, but the included-in-price stylus is very functional and conveniently stored by magnet on the back (but get a cover to make sure it says on - you dont need an official Samsung one). Having loved my iPad Air, I'm just as much in love with this device. It is a joy to read books on also. In summary, im delighted to have this powerhouse gem out with me wherever I go!
