Great shoes/boots
Quality is very good, comfortable and great for a diabetic shoe. Material is very durable, waterproof and lightweight. Would highly recommend them.

I forgot I'm wearing them!
I have some arthritis in my toes and my feet started to hurt after I had these on for a few seconds. I could tell they fit, though. There was room to wiggle my toes. I thought the laces near my toe were too tight and couldn't figure out how to loosen them, so I read the shoe instructions. I didn't see how to loosen the laces, but there were instructions for breaking them in. They said to just wear the boots for an hour the first day, so I was like whatever and I kept them on my feet for an hour. I wasn't sure I'd be keeping them because they were a little uncomfortable. I work at home, so I put them on again this morning while I was sitting around. They weren't uncomfortable at all. After a while, I forgot I was even wearing them. Then I took my dog out for a walk in them, so I won't be sending them back. Well, I don't care. These are now the most comfortable shoes I've had in ages. I think I'm more comfortable walking around my house in these shoes than going without shoes. I'm going now to order a pair of tennis shoes from this brand. I've tried to find an extra wide hiking boot that fit and I've had no luck until now. Even sizing up in brands that normally fit hasn't worked. Everything I've tried so far that almost fit has smooshed my foot from top to bottom. I think the extra depth really helps me. And they aren't too ugly. I mean, I might also be getting old, but I've seen a lot worse. I have a lot of trouble finding shoes that fit and I'm so grateful to have found these. I have a lot of foot pain that even makes it hard to walk sometimes.

Beauty is in the eye of the Beholder
These boots were purchased so that an AFO (ankle-foot orthosis) could be professionally attached to the left boot. A series of strokes has produced significant left side impairments. These boots give proper and continuous support to the affected ankle. Gait has improved, the fit is more secure, and the skin around the foot and ankle are subject to less breakdown due to not being "rubbed raw" by an ill-fitting AFO.These boots are not cheap, but they are significantly less expensive than tailor-made, hand constructed orthopedic boots. Stylistically, they may appear to be a bit " Forrest Gumpy", but they are much more stylish than some other options. They are not dressy, but they are good-looking, ruggedly dynamic footwear.

Great shoe!
These shoes are very sturdy and give great support. I like the Velcro with a laced up look. The ankle support is great. The color is beautiful. I have received many compliments. I have bought them over ten years and the quality remains wonderful!

I got extra wide and that fit is wonderful, the only reason I rated it as "somewhat large" is because there is so much toe room. I even bought a size 10 (instead of my usual 10.5) because I saw reviews that they are oversized. Still, very comfortable and sturdy shoe, useful for both daily wear and hiking!

DISAPPOINTED IN SIZE, WIDTH, AND COMFORT
The shoes would be better if they had a shoe string that you could tie. I have a high instep and these have elastic instead of shoe string, so they are tight on the top of my foot. I ordered extra wide and these fit, but still tighter then they should be, as I normally take a C/D width. The arch is lined up right. I had ordered 1 large size bigger (I take and 8 and ordered a 9, but these run sm so could have used a 9.5 if I want to wear socks with them. They seem to have good construction, but not worth what I paid for them. If they had fit like they were supposed to, I would have given a better rating.][[ASIN:B00IO6JX6E Dr. Comfort Vigor Women's Therapeutic Diabetic Extra Depth Hiking Boot: Black 9 X-Wide (E-2E) Lace]

Get these boots if you have bad feet!!!
Wonderful boots! Hold an AFO brace well and never slipped on wet rocks and mud or stone stairs. Very soft and held up to much use on mountainous terrain on my summer vacation. I literally cried to find something that worked so well for my very flat, arthritic feet. I went places this summer where I thought I'd have to sit and wait while others had fun. Even on flat ground, with good tennis shoes and arch supports, I typically have extreme pain. Not this trip! I hocked Harper's Ferry, WV!! I only took them off when I absolutely had to! Highly recommend!!!!

High quality shoe. Worth every penny.
I purchased a gel insole which made the shoes fit perfect, and they are so comfortable. I have hiked up to 12,000 ft in them, they keep my feet supported and no pain afterwards from long hikes. Very well made, nice looking, they don't look therapeutic, which is what I like about them, but they feel it, and I got lots of compliments on them. High quality shoe. Worth every penny.
