I had to order a replacement and do a return; the first one I ordered arrived with the hinges completely ripped off. The second one arrived, this time with the hinges attached, but they still weren't attached very well and were starting to fall out.The hinges and latches are cheap materials, they are either really poor quality weak metal or plastic with some sort of coating, I'm not sure which. They will break easily, so handle with care.The clear glass on the front also feels like cheap material and keeps popping out of the frame. The sealant is also poor quality; it was already stringy when it arrived and it comes off easily. If you need to have your item(s) properly protected, this is definitely NOT the product you want to get.I'm only keeping it for now because I put a lot of work into creating the display, but I am planning on replacing it in the future with a better-quality product and using this one for scrap pieces.

My husband’s dad passed away at the age of 97 in August and I wanted to put his World War II medals and photos in a permanent display. This shadowbox is very classy. There was room for everything I wanted. I highly recommend this box

It arrived broken with the top right corner pulled apart and broken. I was able to glue it back and you can’t tell. The latches are light weight and will only keep little fingers and honest people out. The tiny screws fell out of mine. Nice deep box. Wonderful black fabric backing. Plexiglass window is beautiful. Besides the damage and laches it’s a great display.

Like most of the other reviews, the box is perfect in size and shape. However the craftsmanship is sloppy at best. Similar to inexpensive bedroom furniture (nightstands to be exact) the square backing which gives it its rigidity has to be finished nailed around the wooden frame. On mines the nails missed the mark on at least 5 different times essentially cracking the frame. One corner of the box is already separating. I’ll have to use so wood glue to get it back together. If I want to correct the rear nailing it can be done by adding new fasteners, carefully removing the old one and attempt to cosmetically fix the cracked area.I’m framing my wife’s Law School Diploma and swearing in memories along with grad cap. Depending on how much you place inside most of the problematic areas won’t be seen. Should one have to do all that for a new out the box item? Of course not! Can everyone build one for the price…some could, some can’t. I don’t have the time to get into miter cutting, painting, finding latches, plexiglass, paint, felt backing, etc. So purchase with caution as I don’t believe anyone will get an unblemished case. Hope this helps. Also, choosing another brand in my opinion wonts guarantee you that another brand would be better.

I purchased this for my daughter’s high school letterman jacket and graduation items like garland, tassel, and certificates. It feels like good quality but I’m no expert in this area. If I don’t come back to update the review it means it’s still a great purchase.

The media could not be loaded. I was excited to create a shadow box for my best friend, who had graduated from college. But the package was damaged upon arrival. The plexiglass was falling off on one side. The frame on the back was broken in the right-hand corner. The latches were not attached to the box, and the screws were missing.I could use some liquid nail to fix it, but I will send it back and go to Michael’s or Hobby Lobby to buy a new shade box for $22 because the frames and shadow boxes are 1/2 off for the holidays.This was a complete waste of money

The item had been dropped on top corner, the plexi glass had been silicone in on top of the glass clips and was popped out on 2 sides. The cover for the door was paper and had peeled away and shows inside the top of case. The latches on the back of the frame came out away from the case once hung on the wall. The case wouldn't hold it's own weight let alone that of a military uniform. The insert hanger bar is only for a jersey shirt not a military jacket and pants. It was much too long to be shoulder to shoulder for a jacket. We had to replace the hanging mechanism on the back and use a hanger for the uniform. It wasn't not trusted to not fall or come apart so we had to put a scre through the case and into a stud to make sure it was secure. Very disappointing. For $180, I would expect better craftsmanship, more solid structure, and for it to hold some weight.
