Nice leather, great quality and design, amazing price!
For a little over a year now, I've been using the Alpine Swiss Bifold Wallet with Removable Flip Up ID Window, but even though I liked the design and quality, I never liked the little nub it had. It's not good for it to rub up against my phone all the time, even though the phone is in a case. I honestly think the nub is a crucial design flaw they should have thought through and scrapped. So I went on the hunt for another wallet, and because I liked my current Alpine Swiss wallet so much, I really just wanted another like it but without the nub. Well this one is great and definitely an improvement over the other one. I like all the space for cards, it makes them easier to store and access, but I am only using three spaces on one of the slots, and two spaces on each of the other two. I definitely wouldn't want to put more cards than this. Another plus which I missed that my previous wallet didn't have was the divider where you put your cash. That way I can keep miscellaneous items on one side and my cash on the other side. The leather on this is a very soft leather, which makes pulling it in and out of the pocket a much easier and smoother experience. I absolutely recommend this one. The value cannot be beat!

Well made of good materials; the commuter style is roomy. Great value!
Have the "commuter" model, which can hold an amazing amount of stuff. The leather is unusually supple and smooth; the stitching is meticulous [obviously machine done], and the card slots are right-sized. I fitted in 6 credit/debit cards, plus a government ID and state driver's license, and a couple "card-stock" health insurance cards [too big for card slots, so they went behind the plastic ID "window"]--and about 15 bills of good 'ole USA currency. Fits easily, with room for more; about 1 inch thick when the wallet is folded. A bit thick for a back pocket, but I normally carry my wallet in a backpack or camera bag. The dual currency compartments should come in handy for travel. One complaint: there is an off-gassing of some sort [a sharp odor/smell] from the leather. Can't tell if it's from some chemical used to treat the leather, or an adhesive used to fit the fabric lining in the currency compartments. Anyway, this odor has lingered for several days, even though I've left the wallet on my desk, to air out. The smell is weirdly persistent, but is gradually dissipating. Still, I would recommend this wallet, and specifically the commuter style. It's well made of good materials, packaged nicely, and a fantastic value [especially if you can buy during a "lightning sale," as I did]. If you are sensitive to odors, be prepared to let the wallet air out for several days.

Wearing all ready
Only after four days of being in the back pocket of my jeans, the color is starting to wear off. The size, feel, and construction of it seems good (so far). If you're not overly concerned about looks, it seems like a good buy for the money. UPDATE: The coloring of this wallet is poor. After about 5 weeks after my initial review the color has worn even more. The rest seems to be holding up pretty well so far. So as stated before, if you're concerned about the appearance of this wallet, it's not for you.

Holds a lots of cards
Great price and has lasted years. Lots of card space and ID. Easy to remove cards. Not small.

Best multi-card wallet. Period.
Just THE BEST wallet for people like me who carries a lot of credit cards. it has 12 slots for credit cards, 4 internal side pockets, two compartments for cash and transparent window for drivers license. All cards fit quite snug, so it's a bit hard to pull them out of a slot, but after a month of usage this problem will be gone (genuine leather is quite stretchy). I used the older model of this wallet (2-year old) and this upgrade is just much better. Alpine Swiss removed their plastic/metal red logo which looked awkward on black leather, and replaced with embossed company name. Aesthetically, it is a significant improvement. Leather quality... Ah... You'll be shocked that $10 leather can be such soft and pleasant to touch. Amazing feeling. Cons... Yes, this wallet is not ideal. It has horrible chemical smell (subject to CA Prop 65 ???). I keep it outside now and hope the smell will be gone in couple days. Alpine Swiss, think about how to fix it. It ruins the first impression.
