Q: Where is the key hole? All i see is some button that wont push down despite all my might

Gently slide red tab button to the center of lock where you would place the key.

Q: Would this be long enough to lock two bikes to the same rack?

It depends it would be hard but if you got them very close lined up and to a skinny pole or something than the answer is maybe lol.

Q: Can you remove the key if it is unlocked ?

No, the key can't be removed when unlocked.

Q: Are the chain links welded?
