The Cousins

As always Karen m McManus suprises us again with yet another excellent book. The twists in the this book are breathtaking and you will not be able to see them coming. If you are a fan of One of us is Lying, then this one is for you. Hope to read many more of your breathtaking highly twisted books. Great book.

A few years back Mildred Story, a rich widow, abandons and disinherits her four children with just a letter that says 'You Know What You Did.' After years of not reconnecting with her children, suddenly one fine day her three Grandchildren receive and an invitation to spend the summer at their Grandmother's resort. The Cousins Aubrey, Milly, and Jonah are all set to know more about their grandmother and why she abandoned her children. But nothing is what it appears to be. Family secrets, lies, and betrayal, and what more will these cousins have to uncover before they find the truth or not?The Cousins by Karen McManus is a well-written YA mystery. Her writing style is easy and intriguing from the beginning. I loved the characters and how they were portrayed. The plot was interesting and unique. My most favorite character was Milly, she was confident, inquisitive, and emotional. The narration is simple yet interesting with multiple POVs. Aubrey and Jonah were really interesting characters too. The story unfolds well until the end. In my opinion, the ending was a bit hasty and could've been extended a bit more. But all in all, I loved reading this book! You should totally read this book if you're interested in reading a family drama mystery!

The Cousins is different from her other books in that it is at a comparatively slower pace, but runs at breakneck speed in the final pages. It might be slightly difficult to keep up with the characters, but there's a family tree at the beginning to help with that. Overall, great book, finished in 6 hours just like the rest of Karen's works.

I absolutely love Karen's books! They are legit the most amazing books in the history of books. If u are into thriller mystery genre, then really consider buying all of Karen's books: The Cousins, one of us is lying, one of us is next, two can keep a secret.Also these are my absolute favourite books of all time:Good Girl Bad Blood and A Good Girl's Guide to Murder.Thank you ❤️😊

The other books by Karen are absolute hits but this one didn't meet my expectations. the characters were quite unrelatable and unlikable. the other books left me in a kind of trance after finishing them but The Cousins just didn't have that effect. The plot was good enough but the story could have been better.the other books, especially One Of Us Is Lying, had really likable and quite relatable characters. Those were really strong characters but the characters in this book were total whackos and obviously need therapy. There wasn't a single character who was even remotely sane and the entire story was kind of weird. Aubrey was likable enough but others, not so much.This was a bit of a disappontment, unfortunately, but I'm still looking forward to more books by Karen.

A very good book. Good quality. Just go for it if you are fan of mystery.

I liked the book but the characters are not deep like "one of us is lying" the suspens was actually good. i would recommend it to begginers who like to read thriller books 13 or above.

Little bit difficult to remember the names but a good read.
