Male product review. Love this stuff.
Ok as my header says. I'm a male. I used to never really care about taking care of my skin over as a youngin. But now at 23, over the past couple of years I've paid more attention to my skin. I'm filipino and european so the asian side of me has blessed me with, overall, good skin. BUT, on my dads european side of the family, they suffer from genetic under eye bags, and dark circles. He had surgery once to have his removed, but nonetheless, they came back in time. I had signs of it, especially when I got into nursing school and my diet, sleep, and anything that had to do with taking care of my skin went out the window. Since I finished nursing school, I've tried to pay more attention to everything as a whole. Ever since I was a highschooler (football and track athlete) I've always suffered from dry skin so I've learned to used body lotion. EVERYWHERE. Be that my face. Not thinking there was a difference in any particular moisturizer. But youtube video after video, article after article. I've learned a ton. I drink a ton of water, eat well, sleep good (haha), and as my daily and nightly routine. I use a cleanser (pore refiner), a toner, and moisturizing face lotion. but my dark circles and eye bags never went away. that was my routine for the last 7 years. I bought this queen bee stuff and it's been a week. I've used it every day, night and morning. righter after I do cleansing and toning and before I put moisturizer. and I am not lying when I say this. This stuff has worked really well. My eyes have cleared up really well. My family noticed as well especially my mother who always preaches to sleep well. since I do not. I understand what people mean about the out of the box consistency being kinda like candle wax, but that's just the top layer. I used my ring finger to apply this stuff being that it's the gentle finger. but anyways. push into the "wax" hard enough and you'll notices a very soft honey like texture. you gotta kinda break through the top layer and move it around. before each usage. once you do that and apply it. (I apply about a pee size under each eye and any excess I put on the top of my eye lid and any more excess I apply to my forehead.) Yes it is a little oily, but it's ok, in my opinion. I leave it on for as long as possible and if I go out, I just dab away the "oilyness" not all the way though, just enough so it doesn't look like I finished crying. PROS: -smells great -easy to apply after broken layer -WORKS (for me that is) CONS: -oily -can make your eyes feel weird if it gets in there CONCLUSION: works well, especially if you have a good skin care routine. definitely recommend using a cleanser and toner beforehand and a moisturizer after. NOTE: when applying any eye cream, apply it but dont mix any facial moisturizer into the area you applied the eye cream. certain chemicals can offset and therefor detour the eye cream from working. apply eye cream specifically for the eyes and facial lotions everywhere but the eyes. your eyes don't have natural oil glands so thats why they look dark, because the skin layer gets thin and you can see the vessels under it. definitely sold on this stuff. I already bought 3 more for the future. but this current jar will last me probably the next 6-8 months. so I'm set for the next 2-3 years if the company goes under. which i hope they do not.

Helps with sleep deprived eyes!
Due to my work situation, I have to deal with some pretty serious sleep deprivation sometimes, and the dark circles under my eyes shout it to the world. I would run into friends and they would always comment something like, "You look tired. You need to get some sleep!". I do what I can, but the dark circles under my eyes continued to be a real challenge. I started looking for some eye cream products, and initially started using a Neutrogena product that helped - I saw about a 50% improvement in the 'sagging' bags under my eyes, but it had no impact on the dark circles (that reddish, purplish 'swoosh' under the eye). After reading some of the reviews, I decided to try the Queen Bee balm. I wasn't so sure after I first put it on. Like others have said, it is pretty greasy/waxy, so it is definitely a night-time product for me (I can't imagine putting this on in the morning to go out of the house!). When I get up in the morning, it is no longer greasy, but soft and smooth. And yes, it does leave some oily residue on my pillow case in the morning, but I found that it washes out easily - with no pre-treating. But the best part is that it really HAS diminished the circles. No, they are not gone, but they are definitely shades and shades lighter, and the skin under my eyes looks and feels so healthy. My schedule has not changed, I still struggle with not getting enough sleep, but no one is commenting that I look tired anymore. People think that my work schedule has improved (it hasn't!). Sometimes when you are using a product that gives gradual results, you don't really appreciate how much it is working until you stop. I started using it 4 months ago, and in the beginning I was very faithful to put it on EVERY night. Then as my eyes began to improve, I got a little slack about it, and after about a day or so, I could begin to tell the difference. Now that I have been using it faithfully again for a longer period, I can tell even more so if I skip a night. I love the way it makes my eyes look and feel in the morning. I'm getting ready to order my second jar now (used faithfully, one jar will last me about 3 months). I don't wear a lot of make-up, so there are only a very few personal beauty care items that I consider 'critical-can't-live-without'. This has become one of them. Oh, and just a note to those who try to discredit the high ratings, suggesting they are a result of the 'free jar' offer ... I didn't want to put in a rating until I had time to use the product and see if it would work. Time got away from me and before I realized it the opportunity has passed for me, so no, I did not get a free jar for my 5-star review. (I certainly wouldn't turn it down at this point!) But it looks like I will have to purchase my next jar. Besides, WHY would I want an extra jar of something that does not work, even if it is free, that will only add to the clutter on my bathroom shelf?????? Skeptical at first, but decided to give it a try
Although I was very skeptical whether this product would in fact do anything, it does do a decent job of moisturizing the under eye eyes and reducing dark circles. I haven't used it long enough yet to say whether it will reduce fine lines, so the jury is still out for now. I'm also very sensitive when it comes to products used near my eyes and simply can't use most of the ones sold brick and-mortar stores. Too many chemicals I guess. Queen Bee doesn't seem to bother me. One thing I should note is that this is not a cream in the traditional sense since it's made out of beeswax. When you open the jar, it's is actually solid, which is a little disconcerting at first. Also, it's better if you don't dab it under your eyes like typical eye creams. Instead, gently smooth it with your finger. It might seem a little oily at first, but it will absorb into your skin (just keep your hair away from it for a little while!). I was initially concerned it might cause acne breakouts, but it hasn't so far. 2020 UPDATE I had tried this about seven years ago but didn't reorder for some reason when I used it up and then forgot about it. When I had a skin reaction (to another cream) around my eye are, I was looking for something to help with the redness and dryness when I remember this very moisturizing product. It's really more of a balm than a cream, and it take a little while to absorb but it's completely healed my skin. I continue to use it once a day because it leaves my skin very soft and reduced the dark circles.
