MPC Remote Start Kit
Installed on a 2014 Grand Cherokee Larado. Complete installation would take less than an hour if Instructions listed in the beginning to make sure all car doors are closed during the complete process. It took me about an hour to figure that out. Car remote works great after installation!

Works and an easy install.
It was an easy install and the programming was not as difficult as I thought it would be. Basically you just plug one side into the start button and the other into the obd-ii port the plug in the module and start the programming. In one of the videos online they remove the stereo, I did not, I just unplugged the start button from the panel under the steering wheel.

Work well, but plug it into the computer first
Thank you to the “tinkering” review, I had to take similar steps to get mine to work on my 2015 Grand Cherokee. Out of the box, mine was programed with 69.04 firmware. I went through all the steps and it was all good until I had to plug it into my PC. It would not finish the decryption process. Going back to the car to redo the steps, it would not flash the same again. After going through the different guides on the website, I realized mine had to be updated to firmware 69.02 as one of the guides mentioned. The software makes that very easy. I did that and switched the option to “Stand Alone” and “Standard Connection.” After that, I repeated the steps and it was smooth sailing. Installed and worked like a charm. Mine required me to hit the lock button 3x. To turn it off, you have to do the same. I noticed that if you remote start and turn it off with the ignition, it starts again lol. But using the remote to turn it off works no problem. Also, there was no update available for the USB. The instruction video says there is, but it wasn’t available or necessary. Mine had version 2.0.

Quick install only with small hands
Instructions are not good! They are not bad, but they are not good. The way i see it you only get technical documentation with the unit and no instructions. Instruction are when you have steps 1,2,3 etc... Here they tell you to connect plug x to plug y, but nothing on how to get to those plugs (just take a guess or do your own research). Luckily there is a guy on YouTube who made an amazing video and after watching it i was able to install it in about an hour when it was late and dark. Probably the installation would've been 30 min shorter if i could fit my hand through the steering wheel hole. Eventually i did but it took me about 30 minutes to find the right angle and lots of cuts on the hand from all the sharp metal inside. Good thing is there is no soldering required except one cable which they don't really explain what it does/doesn't. Manufacturer website is crap, impossible to find installation instructions prior to buying. From what i found they can only be accessed via the QR code they have on their package. Would've been nice to be able to see what I'm about to deal with before buying. I'm a happy customer now once it's done but i wasn't when i read their instructions and i still had questions on how to install and mainly how to get to the plugs they want me to connect to.

Excellent Product and Tech Support
Great remote start. I had a small issue programing it. I sent a support request on Friday evening, the day after Christmas. This must be a very busy time for MPC, but I got a response within a few hours. I followed their instructions and it was working within minutes. If you're not technically inclined, please don't write a bad review because YOU can't figure it out. Great product and great product support. Thank, MPC!

With some tinkering it works.
The install as advertised is plug and play and in my case ( a 2016 Dodge Journey) quite easy to install too. The only issue I encountered was the options were not properly checked by default (it tells you to leave them alone). Had I done that I would have needed to call support. Look at the options and make sure Stand Alone Remote Start is checked, and Lock, Unlock, Lock is also checked. Once you do that it will function correctly. The unit itself I give 5 stars for ease of install, only 3 stars for directions, they could have a provided a simple troubleshoot or guide that says to check that instead of saying to use the default settings that actually did not work till being modified..

Read this Before Assembly!!! 10/10
This was an amazing product and seems complicated for me (a girl) It wasn't that bad the only PSA I wanted to tell ppl is When connecting the fob w/out the battery right against the push to start button I had issues connecting........because I have a stick on button (girlie sparkles) cover over top of my push to start button which made it not connect. I popped it off and it connected immediately the next time. Absolutely the coolest thing ever to start your Durango from the house or work inside!!! I Think it's definitely worth the money!!
