Dove Refillable Deodorant Starter Kit 0% Aluminum Cucumber & Green Tea Aluminum Free Deodorant 1.13 oz

I have used this deodorant for years, the last three of these refill packs I've ordered have been a completely different formula. The green (original) cartridges work great and last forever, never break or fall apart. These new white ones though crumble at even the slightest touch. As a longtime user this is extremely frustrating. These refills are not cheap and for it to snap off or break apart after one gentle swipe is infuriating. As someone with allergies I'm having a hard time finding a different deodorant especially one that is refillable and aluminum free. I used to recommend this to everyone, especially if they travel. Now, if you have the option to use a different refillable deodorant or just deodorant in general I suggest you do that. These are a waste of money unless you're okay putting the broken mush on with your hands every morning. Extremely frustrating. Do not recommend.

This deodorant is good, the applicator on the other hand needs to be replaced. The deodorant never stays on once applied and imitation is started, it sans off at 1st use and there’s no way to reattach. Wishing Dove would figure out another way to apply this product

I typically love Dove products & have used their Advanced Care invisible solid for years & years. I was intrigued at the chance of a refillable option & got this as soon as I saw it. Upon 1st look, it's a beautifully packaged product... it's a sleek design that's compact (should've been great for travel) with a heavy stainless steel base that gives a sturdy feel. That heaviness, however, soon becomes it's downfall. For some reason, the sleekness combined with the heavy compact design makes it hard to stay in your hand & not drop it. On top of that, the actual deoderant bar has no protection once you take the cap off, so it's prone to break right off, which happened to me the 1st time I used it. I thought maybe it was just a defected item, so I ordered a replacement (thank God for Amazon's easy return process!). But it wasn't til then that I checked the reviews & saw that sooooo many others were experiencing the same thing with their bar breaking right off at the base. I know they're trying to save on packaging, but without some kind of protected push-pop design, this is really poorly thought through by the designers. To put the nail in the coffin, this aluminum-free formula is complete garbage! I could literally smell my natural body odor by the end of the day even though they claim 48-hour protection! I'll keep my aluminum formula, please and thanks!

I switched from aluminum-based deodorant a few years ago, and unfortunately, I have not found the perfect replacement, but I am always on the hunt. I usually love Dove products and was excited for this 0% version, extra bonus that it was refillable and better for the environment; I even bought two so I could keep one at home and one in a travel bag. Unfortunately, I recycled both without repurchasing. Scent was fine, formula was a bit too soft and wet and the construction of the applicator made it practically impossible to apply. Like other users have said, it breaks off at the base, and it's way too soft and melty to smoosh it back on or even try to use it with your fingers. Great concept, failed design. The search continues.

Creating a small dispenser is brilliant , create refillable deodorant also brilliant love the entire thing . Easy to put together if follow the directions

This is my go to deodorant. I love the smell and the ability to travel with it in my purse. I went to a wedding and it was great because it was small enough for my clutch and it was very discreet. No one knew what it was when I pulled it out my bag looking for a mint, lol. The case is very durable. I've dropped it with no damage to the deodorant while changing the deodorant refill and super easy to wipe clean. On the OTHER side, I have broken two. The design of the deodorant in the plastic piece is awful, poor design, and very unstable. Once it breaks, the deodorant not the case, you can't really use it unless you want to use your hand as applicator. I've tried, it has a greasy feeling on your hands. It has the same feeling to your hands if you put too much chapstick or lipgloss on your fingers. NO WEIRD feel on your arm pits unless you apply to much. Very light deodorant for your arm pits. I want to try to mens to see if it was the same. NOT FOR ACTIVE/SPORT NEEDS. If you get warm easily or doing any activity besides standing still or sitting, it needs to be reapplied several times with activity. Overall, nice if you don't do much activity, very lightheaded with putting on deodorant, or just need something to travel with.

It's not a product one expects from Dove. The deodorant stick came out of the base on the 1st use itself. Not sure if this could be returned now.
