from start to finish it made me laugh. the crazy chef was so army crazy. like a drill sergeant. as for the chef with the deadly thumb. the lady who wants to be the best in Paris. ends up falling in love with the silly ambitious child of the once famous owner chef. as for the little rat who controls everything from under chefs hat. . ill never look at a restaurant chef the same way again. crazy laughable unbelievable but its kind of what make this awesome movie so funny . little chef is loyal to chef. crazy head chef loses his job when he finds out that the new boy in town is former owners child. and this drives him crazy for he has seen little chef and becomes hell bent on proving chefs amazing success. as for the food critic he two was very prominent but in the end is over come with amazement behind chefs amazing recipes. this is just a awesome animated movie for all to see you will love it

I was suprised to find out that this video is not a free zone rated movie. This disc and others like it will not play in players here in the US. Bummer! Wish I had known!

This is the Pixar 3D movie you have wanted - YES, it's region 2 only. Not released stateside, but if you've got a region free player, GET THIS! We've seen this movie several times, but this is one of Pixar's best, and one that benefits greatly from the 3D upgrade. There are some decent pop outs, but not too many, and I'm guessing part of the reason that it's been 'delayed' from release state-side is that it prominently features a gun in one of the gag sequences. Just a guess... In any case, a great addition to your 3D library, IF you have R2/B player. PIXAR/DISNEY - release this stateside! It's a true gem and the 3D version is worthy...

Do Not Buy! Purchased as a Christmas gift. Took WAY longer than reported... that’s not even the worst- This movie won’t even play for me. My son was SO excited when Santa brought it, and he was SUPER upset it didn’t work too :( (Only put 1 star Bc it wouldn’t let me submit without selecting one. Otherwise I give it NO stars!)

You must have a region free or region B machine, but if so way worth it. Happy to wait for the disk from the UK. Thank you, Sir! The 2D is a great film, but the 3D is enormously better. I bought my region B machine specifically for this disk. Worth the significant investment for this 3D experience. Very pleased.

Cute movie, the viewing experience is made even better by it being in 3D. You need a region free player to watch (if you are not in region B), but worth the hassle.

Well the packaging was nice but the disc inside you can tell were fake, they would not play on any dvd player and there was a pic of a thumbs up inside kinda making fun of the fact that i bought it, not cool people, God wil judge you.

STORY This is the story of how Remy the rat, a budding proprietor of the joys of food, rose from his stereotype ranks to become a expert on fine cuisine, yet it is so much more than that, it's symbolic of all cultures that underestimate and segregate other cultures. Hence there are many adults I would recommend this film to subliminally tell them to be more open minded! Symbolism aside, it's charming tale of a small rat facing a big world via his passions for food. The events early on in the film lead him to a Parisian restaurant where he encounters the restaurant that is the legacy of his TV chef hero. There he manages to befriend a hopeless sap of a chef, from which a zany partnership ensues. Though it follows a predictable animated movie plot (Small guy, becomes a good at something. becomes big guy, upsets those around him by selfish behaviour, reconciles by performing a big brave gesture) its all done with the elegance we have come to expect from pixar now, beautifully scripted, no bad voice acting, likeable characters, and a general sense of cohesion and flow, culminating in a pristinely done ending. BLU RAY QUALITY I bought Ratatouille just to see its prowess on bluray and I wasn't disappointed. As soon as Remy steps on to the screen, you can see every strand of fur in all its flowing glory. Its enthralling enough to look at that sometimes I was watching the film and not listening to it, missing bits of plot. Its graphically flawless as one comes to expect from a CGI animation like this and the colours are bold and strong with a wide ranging palette used in the film. There is no grain in the image and no blurriness apart from when intentionally added to the backgrounds to shift the focus. Sound is clean and clear with voices easily audible and plenty of work is evident on creating the background sound effects such as of a busy restaurant kitchen. OVERALL This is definitely a bluray show off disc. Its worth buying just to ogle at the marvel of the technology used but it also helps that the film is of such a high quality. I don't think this is necessarily Pixars best, but it has an abundance of charm and quality that permeates through to your inner child.

お分かりの通りこれは「レミーのおいしいレストラン」の3Ｄ版です、リージョン不一致なので☆一つ減らしましたがもともとたいへん評価の高い作品です。 もちろん日本語関係は一切ありませんので日本版ＢＲを吹き替え音声で流しながら鑑賞しました、チャプターのタイミングは同じだったのでその辺は快適でした。 で、肝心の3Ｄ具合ですが、、、思ったより飛び出し感は普通でたいへん自然な感じのものです、愛好家にとっては「ものたりなさ」があるかもしれませんがちょっと前の作品なのでしかたないかも・・・。 ただ「ねずみ」の3Ｄ感はちょっとした感動もので、さすが「ねずみ」の扱いになれたディズニー、きめ細かな毛並み感、まるまる感などは嬉しくなります。 厨房でちょろちょろする「レミー」の目線シーンは3Ｄ感をもっと期待していたのですが、ここはちょっと残念！！！ 一番気に入ったのは冒頭「レミー」が食材の「食べ合わせ」を説明するシーンで「レミー」のバックでイマジネーションが発動するところ、2Ｄ版ではよくわからなかった抽象映像が3Ｄになると飛び切りおしゃれな感じになる。 これも日本版はでないのだろうな～！？かなしい、、、、。 Ｐ．Ｓ．一部2Ｄ版にもコメントが載っているのでご注意！！
