I’ve loved this whistle for 2 seasons of refereeing. Great whistle.

Obnoxiously loud!!! If you ever watch football Its sounds exactly the same as the refs whistle. Great design. It has the rubber teeth guard too which makes it comfortable. Definitely worth buying. I'd bring this with me if I go camping or hiking. Give it to my child if she is off playing in a state park or something.

Overall, very good. I officiate and use this whistle. My 2nd Epik did not have its' rubberized mouth piece seated so a "flap" kept popping out. The rubberized material is solid but wears out rather quickly (as they all do), but quicker than the standard. Some have commented on the noise, I'd say the Epik is louder than the original. Also, the curved body makes it a different feel when you hold it.

Love fox40 and this style! I'm an offical for high school sports and this is the only one I use.

Nice whistle but it's not as sensitive as a pea whistle. Takes a lot more effort to make a blast.

I coach football and used it all season. I love Fox 40 whistles and this has been my favorite so far. I had a classic fox 40 last and it lasted 8 seasons.

Not as loud or as comfortable in mouth as the Fox 40 Classic. The Eclipse is also louder.

I have been a handball referee for a while now and recently decided to buy a few different whistles to try out. I don't know whether the one I got specifically is severely defected (and cannot be returned) or whether the whistle is just bad. Not a clear sound and quite a mediocre pitch. Hard to change tonality. I dislike leaving negative reviews but I feel it's fair since I can't return this or get a new one.
