I have used this brand for my cigar humidor for years and it has kept the cigars in top condition, even some very special cigars that have rested in that humidor for over a well over a decade. Recently we had problems keeping the soft dog treats moist after opening the package. The solution was to use a new large freezer zip-lock bag and add the Boveda pack to the dog treats. It took a few days, but the previously hard and unwanted (by the dog) treats were as soft and fresh as when we first opened the package. No longer are we wasting money by tossing out hard dog treats that the (overly spoiled) food focused fur missile rejects. So far, it's been over two months and there is no sign that the Boveda pack is degrading. Typically they will last around four months in the humidor and start showing signs of firmness around three months after opening.
