I love these stands for acrylic signs I engrave with a cricut. They can run on batteries but each comes with its own USB cord so you can also plug it in. Each one has its own remote and you can change the light to a wide range of colors - choose a single color or transition through different ones. The remotes are universal, so if you have more than one close together, it may be a problem if you only want to control one of them. Otherwise, these are fantastic!!

I generally don't do reviews. I'd much sooner say good things rather than bad, however this is more an advisory on combability. Received the units and they work. Unfortunately, I did not pay very close attention to the slot dimensions - my bad. The width and depth are good, but the thickness is 0.18 inches. While I've not yet done an exhaustive search here for acrylic plates, the ones that were suggested and that I ordered are only 0.08 inches thick. They wobble terribly, thus becoming totally useless. I just find it frustrating that the company that sells both products doesn't make them compatible. I suspect that maybe if I purchase the complete package it might all work as it should. Not sure I want to take that chance.

Run best plugged in (5v). On battery power alone (4.5v), either did not work at all, or worked sporadically -- lit up all white and would not cycle through colors. Dimensions listed were inaccurate. Cord is kinda short. Acrylic insert blank design shown is my own. Takes 1/8" plexiglass (0.118") well.

This 6-piece LED night mount set has been a total upgrade for my home. The lights are just the right brightness — enough to safely light up hallways, staircases, and closets at night without being harsh or blinding.
