God
This is the third series I've read by Omer. I think it may be his first series but I did this thing backwards. because of this I already know Zoe Bentley and I'm taking away a star due to this. Before I explain myself let's just say this is one of his better books and they're all good. It's well paced, suspense filled and very exciting. I like the male detectives and enjoyed that he was using men as everything else I've read has been female protagonists. I prefer male for some reason. However partway through the story Zoe Bentley shows up and considering I've already read her three part series I know Zoe. This is not her. To me that's a real problem. The Zoe I got to know along with FBI agent Tatum is completely different than this gal. Nothing even is the same. In this book she's sexually forward, she's more confident, she's smoother, she's just not Zoe. When asked why she is in the FBI by Detective Mitchell she tells him because she watched tv as a kid and thought it'd be fun. Huh???? There's a huge backstory about Zoe and why she went into law enforcement and its very integral to her personality. There's nothing about Zoe that would ever say that or be so blase!!! So either Omer changed his own character when creating her series, or he forgot who she was. I'm not down with either. I'm an avid reader and the characters I meet along the way in the many worlds I've traveled to through the written word are very real to me, and I can still recall people I've met in books some twenty years later. That's how vivid certain characters are, they're real in story world, they're real in my imagination. There's no way a decent author doesn't know this. So what gives??? I think I'm deducting two stars because I'm peeved. Three stars

very good
This was a well written story, lots of action, lots of clues to follow. There are some good characters in the story but some gaps also. The detectives are trying to catch a serial killer while dealing with their own problems. I will read the next story in the series.

Robuster,
This author has a knack for empathy. When describing the victims anguish he has it to a tear jerking , heartbreaking science. It’s the best I have EVER came across.I’ve read tens of thousands of books by thousands of different writers not one can match him in this craftsmanship of the story line. The rest of his writing is average or slightly above. The stories are well crafted , the villain is exceptionally well done. The Protagonist Zoe and the ever changing sidekicks are interesting but they lack the human element that is needed to get them over the top. It keeps his work second tier when it could easily be top tier. I like his protagonist Zoe. I like her up and down personality.I especially like the amount of time spent on the villains of his stories. For me , the hero can only be as good as the villain is despised. They make the story rememberable, in my opinion. Good work. Well crafted , worth the time , effort and money spent on all of his work.Highly recommend if you are into this genre. One other thing . It’s my opinion this author should team with a more detailed writer that has trouble with giving his work the emotional zing it needs to rise up the ranks.Like Lincoln Douglas and Preston Child. If paired with the right partner the work could be something special.

Anticipation
The narrative leads you, the characters engage you. I found the connection between them to be very relatable to the reader. I will be reading the series.

Excellent police procedural with interesting characters
The team of Lonnie and Cooper is awkward but it works. The rest of the department play only a supporting role. The real magic is between Mitchell and Zoe. I'm definitely along for the ride.

Good Writing
I think I’ve liked everything I’ve read by this author. Solid mystery/police procedural with characters who have a lot at stake. Engaging but not confusing; satisfying without being reductive. Will it require some suspension of disbelief? Yes, of course. It’s worth it.File Under: Multi-Perspective Goodness

Good start for the series!
A little slow in the beginning, but Spider's web is well written and enjoyable! Marshall, one of the Glenmore Park police is tasked with finding a cold blooded murderer of women in Glenmore Park. After the first murder he is paired with Zoe Bentley, a psychiatric police advisor. Together they begin to make progress, it soon Marshall's sister disappears and is in the hands of the killer.Read the book, because it is so much better than my review!

Keeps you guessing, twists and turns. Well written.
I first read a Mike Omer book as one of my kindle 1sts it was called a killers mind ... it blew me away couldn’t put it down so much so that I immediately ordered the follow up book. I was so impressed that I ordered Spiders web .. I wasn’t disappointed a real page turner, I’m now reading the next in the Glenmoor books series. I have discovered a new author. I don’t want to give any of the plots or stories away but I will say that you won’t be sorry if you invest in these reads.

Disappointing
This really didn’t grip me, so I flipped through a fair bit of it, I think the author should have stuck to one or two main characters, as it was there seemed more chief’s than Indians, who was Hannah and why was she flying around the country chasing a source of human hair! Was Mitchell the lead or was it Jacob who knows and more importantly who really cares! Not me I’m afraid

Excellent Debut
Well written, a different kind of plot from the run of the mill " formula" narratives. Looking forward to the next in the series.

Quite good
I try to avoid american crime novels because they are usually dreadful but this slipped through.I enjoyed it more than I thought I would but found the charecters quite unrealistic, i but don't think I will be reading any more of this series.
