Super easy fix for broken plastic hinges. I have an Ultimate Extreme Coleman that is an excellent cooler. Keeps food and beer cold for five days plus if done right. I've been using it on mtn biking trips for about twenty years now. Cheers.

These hinges fit my Coleman model 6262/6263/6264 perfectly and are much sturdier than the cheap plastic hinges it came with (though those lasted at least five years of light use). I'm very happy to have only spent $10 on hinges instead of a lot more on a new cooler! It's unclear if the mounting screws are also stainless steel or are galvanized, so I'll be keeping the old screws in case these rust. It isn't clear which way the hinges are to be mounted: "dot" protrusion on top or bottom? I put it on the bottom since the other side may retain water and it seems to work.

Unbelievable!! These hinges are distributed by Colemen. They are quality metal hinges that fit perfectly and replace the cheap plastic ones that are literally destined to break. The hinges get 5 stars but Coleman gets 0 stars for not putting these metal hinges on their coolers IN THE FIRST PLACE when they know full well the plastic ones wont last.

OK. I get that Coleman has to put out affordable products and in reality, the plastic hinges probably lasted 10 years (light use as I abuse my marine coolers, not my picnic cooler). But as one that doesn't throw out functioning coolers, I thought that replacement hinges were in order. I could have bought an off brand but for a few dollars more, why not buy a Coleman hinge for a Coleman cooler? It isn't like it will break the bank and it went back on just like the original using the same screw holes. That in itself was worth the couple of extra dollars.

After the plastic hinges broke on my Coleman (after ten years of use and garage/outdoor storage) I found that getting replacement parts in the UK wasn't the easiest task. £15 including postage is a bit steep for a pair of hinges, but they fit perfectly, come with replacement screws (although the originals are slightly longer so I've reused them instead) and should ensure another decade or more's use of my cool box. Now if only I could find a cheap replacement for the broken stopper...

A great find! The hinges on our Coleman cooler have been broken for years, but the cooler itself is still in excellent condition. These hinges were easy to install, and should last for years to come!

These replacement hinges are great! I paid $75 plus tax for a Coleman cooler at the beginning of summer. After using it maybe 5 times one of the (plastic) hinges cracked in half! I discovered the replacement hinges on Amazon by freak accident (or luck!) and was skeptical that they would fit properly. Much to my delight they fit perfectly and were super easy to install. I just wish Coleman would have used a quality product like this initially instead of gouging another $18 out of my pocket!
