Great product
These are terrific pens for marking out all the information on my paperwork that I want to throw out. They work so well that I went back for more to get rid of some paper work that had Bern piling up, so quick and easy to use.

Great for deidentifying documents for clinical research purposes
We bought these markers for our clinical research site where we need to de-identify source documentation from study participants' medical records on a daily basis. Sharpies or other permanent markers weren't cutting it.. these pens definitely do the trick. My only issue is that when somebody gets a little overzealous and pushes hard before marking out a line, ink does occasionally gush out. Causes a big mess and ends up obscuring more than you had hoped for.. but with a little practice, people tend to figure it out.

Works great
Used for medicine bottles, they covered best usinf vertical lines and were very dark. Let dry for a few minutes .

Better than most, but still far from perfect
First, these are incredibly expensive for what they do. Second, I use a regular laser printer and the coverage is still not sufficient. I had to use the marker and then cover the marker with white correction tape and then make copies of the redacted document before I was comfortable sending it out. Third, they simply do not last as long as you would expect. While pushing down on the tip helps, I was surprised at how quickly these ran out of ink.Despite all of my negatives above, these are still better than any marker I've found for this purpose.

How to effectively use
Here’s a few clues to get the most out of these great redaction markers:1) Read the directions on the pen! Be sure the ink is well shaken and the tip is well saturated before beginning use.2) Do NOT press down hard when trying to redact!!!3) Give the pen a little shake and press down on the tip for just a second between uses to insure fresh ink flow.4) Let the ink do the work. A very light touch will provide sufficient ink to cover MOST writing.5) Let the ink dry - gently blowing on the paper will hasten the process.6) For the 3-5% of the time one coat doesn’t sufficiently cover, lightly redcoat and blow dry.I have redacted HUNDREDS of credit card numbers, CCV codes, and expiration dates in our ticket office with a single marker which has not yet run dry!The pens have far exceeded my expectations. I suspect people having problems have not followed the above tips. I learned through experience - you don’t have to learn the hard way!!! Do not let the tip run dry - you will destroy the felt tip! Just press down on the tip to get the ink flowing.

Really works!
Easy to use to blot out prescription info on labels that don't remove. We used to try to scrape off the label, but it was very time consuming. Now one quick swipe and it's taken care of! Just be sure to put the cap on tightly or it will dry out.
