Structure & Function of the Body, 14th Edition

The book is a soft cover, good quality and comes with a CD. Each chapter has outlines and objectives so you can prepare and focus for chapter tests. The text/font is a good size, easy to read and the pages are also of good quality and not cheap or thin. The illustrations are clearly explained with the proper locations of the parts. They also have photographs of real affected areas of the body, which I found to be somewhat gross, but that's how good the pictures are! I am not a medical student but I am studying for medical coding and I found some of the pictures, well, a bit "surprising". I didn't expect to see real pictures of skin diseases, lacerations etc., but I guess this gives students a better understanding of human anatomy. Aside from my shying away (at first) from some of the graphic photographs, it is a well written book that is easy to read, follow, and comprehend.

This was perfect for class at a fraction of the bookstore price.

I used this book for a one semester introductory course in A&P. This book was decent, but it did not go into very much detail on certain topics. I think this would be a good book for someone taking a one semester course, or someone wanting an introduction to the topic. If you are taking a one year course in A&P, this book could be helpful in understanding the basics (sometimes it helps to read a simplified version of something before going into detail).

This book is has been instrumental in me leaning anatomy. The quality of the book itself is exceptional. The information is layed out in a manner that is very easy to understand with many illustrations. The class feels almost self taught at this point and is strongly based on this book. I highly recommend this to future anatomy students.

I bought it used and despite all the highlits in the book by previous person/ persons I really like this book. I find it to be well written with great pictures. It helps a lot

As a freelance medical writer/editor, I always need access to accurate, easy-to-read information on health-related topics. This book is one of several references covering anatomy and physiology that I keep on hand. It is easy to read and can be used as an original reference, that is, the information is not referenced to another source.

Great book helped me with my Module 1 nursing degree. Very clear diagrams and great for revision. CD that came with is OK, just goes over the key points, would be great for a visual learner to help summarise key points but it is very basic to be fair. Would recommend

A requirement for my nursing degree, this book is extremely well laid out with an interactive cd and access to their online learning. The price is far below what it should be for this amount of depth and quality. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this product to any one who has an interest in A&P or is starting a nursing degree.

This was purchased as a mandatory text for my son who is studying nursing. It arrived on good time and in excellent condition.
