Mattel 1992 Holiday Barbie Doll

This was bought as a gift to be sent to Russia. I was nervous about the international shipping, but it got there on time, actually with a few days to spare before the birthday. Fantastic. Now, the doll was packed securely and in the original packaging. The doll is gorgeous, it is absolutely fabulous. Had all the hair clips and rings and shoes, the dress is super puffy and it sparkles, hair is shiny and wavy and amazing;it came with a stand, which makes it look ever so pretty on the shelf. And it makes sense since the box was never opened before. One could tell by the amount of things that held that doll in place with her hair flowing beautifully. The box itself did have some damage, but I was warned about that in description. Some of the silver frame was peeling of and had yellow stains, but not in a terribly obvious way, It was not bought for a collection but simply for a pleasure of having a beautiful Barbie doll, so that was not an issue. And come on, this doll is 22 years old. Also the receiver was an adult, so explaining a not-so-perfect box with a perfect doll in it was not a problem.

All I can say is wow! This very old Holiday Barbie looks brand new. It’s amazing how sturdy the packaging was when they first started making these. Love the doll. It’s in perfect condition. Brian’s Toys comes thru again. Thanks guys!

It's hard to tell in my picture but the plastic is very yellowed and had several cracked open holes in it. I sort of expected that bc I'm buying it on Amazon and it's 28 years old so that wasn't a huge problem. It made me feel less guilty about taking the Barbie out bc the box was ugly and I wanted to display her. I realized after I opened the box to take a look at it that the skirt isn't the silver color it is supposed to be. I also see in other review photos that her skirt is a faded white color instead of silver. Mine just has a weird spot where the silver hasn't faded away that makes the skirt look kind of ugly. The top has a few spots where the color is starting to fade away too. I didn't buy this as a collectible I bought it for the nostalgia bc I was born in '92 and thought she was cute but I think I will try to return this and try to find a better condition doll elsewhere. My fault for not shopping around more before purchasing. It would be helpful if the description noted that not only will the box show wear from age but that the dress is also not in great condition if there is more than one doll that is in this condition.

I received her in absolutely perfect condition, as beautiful as I remember! My daughter loves her and takes her with her everywhere she goes! She loves the attention she receives from people who as what Barbie she is, and she is anxious to answer them that it was the exact Barbie I had as a child from the 90's! We absolutely love her!
