Interesting read but perhaps, other books on the same topics will give just as detailed of a pictures of this true crime situation.

A fascinating insight into what is known about killer Israel Keyes, following the course of his arrest for one particular case...then the unfolding disbelief as investigators realise this man is like no other...It is chilling and matter of fact all at the same time.. I was fascinated and horrified in equal measure. Maureen Callahan writes so well, offering transcripts, descriptive setting and a real sense of the people involved.What I came away with was the feeling that as a serial killer, Israel Keyes was the closest real life example to the intelligent killers of movies and novels...he was one scary scary guy and all you can really do after finishing this book is thank whatever you believe in that they caught him. What I took away from it is a sense of melancholy for the unfounded and unknown victims. They are out there and one must hope that all those involved in trying to unravel this web will successfully get closure for as many families as possible.

Very interesting account of Israel Keyes. He seemed very organised and meticulous in some ways and then completely bumbling and amateur in other ways. Not knowing that atm withdrawals would be tracked for instance? Carrying victims cards and driving licenses in his wallet? What is frightening is his total lack of fear, his boldness and determination, his work ethic and persistence. The shocking account of his treatment of Samantha Koenig and his going on holiday plans whilst trying to abduct and process her body is bizarre. A well written book and very interesting read.

Israel Keyes was by far one of the most meticulous, fascinating serial killers of all time. Before hearing a mysterious podcast in 2019, I had never even heard of him. This book brought to light a lot of the answers as to why he was so unheard of... the abomination that is law enforcement in the United States. Never have I been so enraptured by a single novel in my life.I must say, he was a terrifying man who let himself down at the end... how did this man ever get caught? Was he bored? Tired of lying in wait in the darkness? Just wanted to play a game of cat & mouse with law enforcement? We’ll never know. One things for sure, I had nightmares for weeks after reading this book and had to put it down a few times.“Payne and his team had come to believe they were dealing with a serial killer and Keyes had just told Doll and Payne: you’re right. And you’ll never find another body without me.” Sheesh.

For a while now, I’ve wanted to learn about the serial killer Israel Keyes, so I brought this book. This book contains some amazing information about Keyes and his crimes, it goes into his early life up to his death in 2012.I would truly recommend this book for a true crime lover
