A really excellent book. Very well written and very engaging.

Well researched and written, a good read. Now my question is are my tax £s being wasted on expensive aircraft and is theira better way.

This book is hugely important if you want to understand where warfare is going in the next 20 years. It's poorly written and the copy editing is even worse - but that's a small price to pay for up-to-date information. Strongly recommended for military theorists.

In the 1964 movie, Zulu, Private Hook points out the weakness in the defensive strategy of Roukes Drift and says that even if the British Officers haven't seen it the bloody Zulus must have. It's the same with this revealing book, even if the Governments of the Western World haven't seen what a huge war (and civil population control) game changer drone technology is, the enemies of freedom certainly have. David Hambling has written a ground breaking book that everyone interested in the future should read.

I could not turn the pages fast enough to learn how dynamic and disruptive this technology will and has become. The author has provided a very thorough and in depth look at how it will change military strategies and the future landscape of our world. He clearly explains the history and the evolution of this technology to give the reader insights and understanding on where it is heading. I highly recommend this book to anyone who flies drones or U.A.V.s. or who is an aviation enthusiast. Phenomenal read.
