I live with a 250 lb man, and being a 115 lb woman myself, I had to get rid of my old tempur pedic mattress, since we would both sink into the middle every night, and it was really uncomfortable if you could imagine. His mattress is firm, and pretty old. I've tried pillow top style pads, but they always flatten very quickly. This was a different story. It arrived very tightly wound up, and still managed to puff right up. This assured me that it probably won't ever flatten out, without going back to its normal shape.Note: I read somewhere that you need to give it 17-48 hours to rest after unpacking it. Not sure if this is because it has to fumigate, but this wasn't necessary. I left it out for about an hour and returned, and it was perfect and ready to go. Also, I have a strong sense of smell, and there is little to no smell on this at all, even right after unpacking it. Feel free to throw this on your bed in the morning, it will definitely be ready to use by bed time. :)This is a great mattress pad for people who like firm mattress, but also want a little support. My boyfriend is very picky, and didn't want to be swallowed by a foam mattress, and he ended up liking this more than me! It supports us well, but still feels soft and squishy. I'm giving this 5 stars because I honestly can't see, at this moment, a reason to give it any less. I prefer thick pillow top mattresses, but I have been sleeping much better since I've had this, even if it doesn't feel perfectly comfy at times. I no longer feel inclined to hit snooze even once, and I'm not aching in the morning. My boyfriend keeps reminding me that "this was a great purchase, it really changed our bed up." We both have been sleeping better, can't complain there.I have only had this pad for a week, so I will update it in the future in case my opinion changes at all. I tend to be wary of Amazon products that have a good chunk of 5-star reviews being reviewed by people who received products for free or discounted, but luckily, this is the first product that has lived up to its name in that regard.Edit: I've had this pad 2 weeks now, and I feel like it has really been broken in. I initially thought it was worth 4, maybe 4.5 stars, but now it's definitely 5 star comfort. I felt like I had to shift around a lot at the start to get comfy, but that's no longer an issue after 2 weeks. It almost feels like little marshmallow angels are hugging me while I sleep, without completely consuming me. It might be less comfortable for people who have cold rooms, but even with our sub-temperatures, my man and I still manage to warm this mattress up quickly, and it's delightful. I love this thing so much!Edit 1/18/2017: Still in the same good shape months later! (Unlike other toppers I've purchased.) People were wondering if you could use heating pads for your back on this topper, and after testing it with an extremely hot pad I own, it still springs up to its normal self afterwards, it doesn't melt/warp like people are worried it will, it's excellent quality foam.

After purchasing an Ultra Plush mattress from a leading nationwide mattress store for our motorhome, we found it still too firm with body pressure points still after sleeping on it. Being on the road for the next two weeks, we had to wait and put up with pain until we reached our RV park in Florida to order the mattress topper. Shipment was fast and arrived in two days as stated from Amazon. However, when I removed the topper and set it on top of my new mattress, the topper was larger in width for a standard queen. I checked their web site and they stated a queen to be 75in x 59in. The topper measured 75in x 61in. This is simply too large for a motorhome bedroom installation, since it would hit the sides of the slide wall. I contacted the company with the following email since they did not answer the phone in a timely fashion:Good day Advance Sleep Solutions,I just received my Gel Memory Foam Topper. When I removed it and opened it up on my RV Queen Bed, I immediately noticed that it was “oversize” for my mattress. According to your web site, a Queen topper is 79” x 59” x 2”. I measured the width at 62”. This “hangs” over the mattress. I have two questions.Q1. What is the best way to “trim” the mattress to fit?Q2. In the case where I do trim the mattress and I do not like it. Can I still return the “modified” mattress for a full refund?About an hour later I received the following response from them:Thank you for reaching out to us! It sounds like your topper may have been cut a few inches off from the normal size and we are terribly sorry! You should have no trouble at all trimming the topper! We actually have a lot of customers that do this in order for the topper to fit their RV mattress since sometimes they are a little different than regular mattresses. Trimming your topper is very easy. We recommend using an electric knife or a fish cleaning knife if you have one. If you don't have one, we recommend using a very sharp knife and start in the middle of the topper, moving the knife up or down, depending on which direction you would like to cut first. Be sure to cut the topper slowly!Please note that if you trim the topper and it does not work for you, we normally do not accept returns. In this case, we will work with you and allow you to have the topper donated to a local charity or shelter of your choice, in our name Advanced Sleep Solutions LLC, for a full refund. Being an senior citizen and a limited space in my motorhome, I found this task rather difficult. However, I was able to accomplish the width cutting of the topper to the proper size - 59 inches.I found the quality of the topper to be very good. the density of 3.3 pounds was the solution to the pressure points that my new mattress did not address. Also, the off gassing of the topper was very minimal. However, being oversize from what is stated on their web site is not good quality control. This is a simple correction to avoid this problem in the future with their customers.Q1
