Are there a thousand other options out there for headlights? Of course! And you can get em for around $9 at any hardware store. So why buy this?Do you camp with other people? If so, ever turn on your light and blind everyone? We all have. This light when first turned in always goes to red first. This is fantastic for addressing that "whoops!" moment of accidental blindness.Most importantly, the dimmer switch.I know, I know, sounds needless on this piece of equipment. Again I ask the question, do you camp with others? If so, being able to dial ALL the light settings is amazing for getting just the right amount of light without blinding others in the process.Lightweight but still feels very durable. Easy to operate with gloves on and charges with USB-C

First one I got was faulty. The rotary switch was too hard to turn. It took two hands to turn it! I returned it for an exchange and it seems fine. I also own the previous 200 lumen model. There are some differences, some good, some not so good. Firstly, this model (300 lumen) has a bigger battery door clip, making it easier to open to insert batteries. I DO wish they would go back to thumb screw closures though. Secondly, the light is brighter in all modes, if I remember correctly. Thirdly, the switch is different. There are the slightest of indents in each position, they are barely there at all. The 200 lumen model had more distinct indents, albeit a little ‘wobbly’. Fourthly, the 300 lumen model seems to produce a warmer white light than the 200 lumen model. All in all, I’ve been impressed with the build of Princeton Tec lights. Their customer service is top notch too. So if you have problems or questions, they are very good. And best of all, they are made here in the USA.

Bought this for my wildland fire helmet. Has not disappointed me thus far this fire-season. Has shined bright through smoke and flames and even when my boot soles were melting and my face was getting burned, this light (and the strap) held fast. Haven’t had to replace the batteries despite 20+ hours of usage, and the switch has taken abuse from water and grit without failing. Very, very satisfied with the quality of this light, especially for the low price point it’s offered.

Have used headlights all my life and this is the best one I’ve ever had this far and the fact that it’s made in the The USA is a super bonus very well-made and you can’t beat the price. my wife thinks I’m nuts because it nighttime I’ve been wearing it around the house with all the lights off too check it’s Different light settings which all work perfectly I just love it!!🇺🇸

The power switch is almost impossible to move. Bought this brand because it’s supposedly Made in U.S.A. Sadly I guess it doesn’t matter anymore. Next time I’ll just buy made in China if paying more for Made in U.S.A. doesn’t mean better quality. Expensive but poorly made plastic piece of junk !!

The on/off knob was extremely stiff. There is no way I could turn the headlamp on or off with one hand. I returned the product and bought a different brand.

I am a DIY'er so I only needed a basic headlight for jobs around the house. Wanted one made in USA if possible and didn't want to spend a ton of money. This fit the bill in all respects. Basic and comfortable to wear. Super bright! Can't comment on battery life and am slightly worried about breaking the latch on the battery compartment (seems a little fragile so I'll need to be careful). Affordable. Really happy with the purchase.

I ordered this headlamp to replace an older one, similar make/model. It is slightly upgraded and easier to open the battery compartment, and the light features are great. Several options for brightness and kind of light, with an easy-to-turn switch.
