Effective product for removing sweater pills AND also great for removing pet hair and lint from clothes & uphostery.
I originally purchased the Lilly Brush for reconditioning an old wool sweater, and I can attest that it really removes sweater pills as described. It gave a second life to a sweater otherwise on it's way to being discarded. Keep in mind that the brush is designed for pill removal from natural fiber knits and not from synthetic fiber knits. What I also learned after reconditioning my sweater is that this brush is great at removing pet hair and lint from any type of clothing or upholstery as well. It is just as effective as standard sticky tape pet hair/lint removal rollers, but it is much cheaper in the long run and easier on the environment as well. I specifically used it to remove dog hair and lint from my modal t-shirts and to clean the dog hair off of my cotton-fabric couch. I would highly recommend the Lilly Brush to anyone who wants both an effective tool for removing pills from their sweaters AND for anyone who wants a less-costly, more environmentally friendly alternative to removing pet hair and lint. I found out about the Lilly Bush (and the company that makes it, Lilly Brush Co., LLC) during a web search for reconditioning sweaters with fabric pills. The company and the product both had many positive online reviews. Even better, it is available right here on Amazon.com for a very reasonable price. It is sold by Lilly Brush and fulfilled by Amazon, so you can feel secure about your entire ordering process, from payment security to delivery time.

Must have!
First thing; I'm a big fan of Lilly brushes. They are awesome for removing pet hair from furniture. Second, I have used the flat, squeegee-looking Lilly brush to remove hair from clothing and it is effective but can get a little difficult to use while trying to hold the piece of clothing flat. This brush was JUST what I was hoping for to make that process much easier with the same great results. I love the compact design because I can just pop it into a pocket in my bag and have it ready when I notice inevitable stray pet hair on my shirt or pants. The bristles are fine but firm and really capture hair and lint super easily. As far as I'm concerned, this is a must-have for pet owners. I love it!

Works best on natural fibers
I bought the Lilly brush (not discounted) and tried it on several sweaters. I couldn't get it to work and gave it a low rating. Subsequently I received a kind email from the company that provided specific instructions on how to use the brush. With this helpful information, I tried again. Per their email, the brush works best on natural fibers. I tried it on cotton, wool and some other fine knots. In situations without major fuzz, it worked really well. If the sweater was very fuzzy, it did not remove the fuzz completely (only a shaver will probably do that) but it did a nice job of surface improvement. The company clarified that the brush is not as suitable for synthetic fibers, which is why I had trouble initially. Also the brush is quite small (as others have mentioned). Maybe a larger size could also be introduced in the future. Instructions in or on the box would also be very helpful. [EMAIL BELOW] Dear Name- We saw on the feedback and customer review page that you were not at all happy with your purchase, and I wanted to take a moment to reach out to you to see if I could be helpful with tips on how to use Lilly Brush. SWEATERS: As advertised, Lilly Brush is a sweater brush for 100% natural fiber knits. If there is a percentage of nylon or acrylic content in the sweater, those fibers are longer and stronger than the more delicate cashmere, cotton wool, etc. fibers, and thus must be torn, cut, sanded or shaved from affected garments. I am wondering if this is why the Redecker brush is more satisfactory to your purposes? Our concern is that it is a little too robust for a fine cashmere or cotton knit. LINT: If you are using Lilly Brush as a lint brush, and the climate is dry, it helps to dampen LB slightly to resolve static issues which can otherwise pull removed lint and hair back onto the garment. When using LB as a lint brush, brush up and down as you would with a sticky roller. This allows fur, etc. to gather itself into an easily removable roll on the surface of the brush. If fur and lint can't be cleaned from the bristles manually, rinse the brush and tap, bristles down, on the side of the sink. This will dislodge any remaining detritus. Please allow the brush to dry fully before closing it back in its case. RETURNS:Of course, if you would prefer to return the product, we will gladly refund your money. I note that you say you already returned the product, but we show not a single return since we began selling on Amazon. I am concerned that yours has not been noted. Please let me know how we can help you. It is most important to us at Lilly Brush is that you are happy! Please feel free to email questions or requests to me at [e-mail address removed]. Thanks for your time, Elsie Hamilton President, Lilly Brush Co., LLC

Pet Lovers need a Lilly Brush!
Just recently I ordered my second Lilly Brush! I use it so often I wanted to have a second one to carry with me. Not only does this brush breathe new life into sweaters and my favorite vintage tees - it also is the best per hair remover I've ever found. I used this brush to remove the pills from an entire closet shelf of sweaters. It was amazing how much better they look - almost like new again. I also used it to add new life to my collection of vintage rock concert tees! Love it. While I'm impressed with the pill removal, I am super-impressed when using this as a pet hair remover. I love my furry friends, but always have fur on my clothes and furniture. This brush whisks it all away and I don't have to worry about struggling with layers of tape (why are they so hard to pull apart and rip?) or buying a new roll. This brush is always ready and can be used again and again. Saves me money and nothing to throw away. That's a win-win for me.

Great product, kinder than the battery shaving type. Pleased with the improvement with an all wool jumper.

This little brush is fantastic! I have a cat that sheds like crazy, especially on the bedspread and until now I couldn't find anything to remove the hair. With the lilly brush all the hair comes off so easily and can be used brushing in either direction. Easy to clean and works very well on removing pills on sweaters as well. Fantastic little product and well priced. Highly recommended, you won't go wrong with this little gem. I love it!!

It most certainly does the job. It removes pills without tearing or stripping the wool fabric. The handle is a good shape but is very short. The lid protects the brush, but it would have been even better if it was able to fix to the end of the handle, therefore offering better grip, but no. The product is a bit pricey (£14 when purchased) - most likely because it is a US product. Hopefully, with time, the price will come down and reflect its proper worth. As it is, 3 stars is fair.

Works pretty good on clothing for pet hair, not to bad for piling. I like how small it is and easy to clean
