We have two cats and one of them is butterfly crazy. The other we struggle to buy toys for because she has a neurological disorder that, amongst other things, causes her to panic during playtime and thus she avoids most toys in order to avoid getting overstimulated. Most toys scare her; particularly ones that make sounds. The boy LOVES these, just like we expected, but the girl actually took to one of the butterflies (off string) pretty well too; which was a surprise, since they crinkle and tinkle. She still panics, mid-play, but she doesn't avoid the butterfly and does come back to it after calming down. The other teaser is fun for the lad too but the extra bits and bobs are now in the toy box, untouched, just like the ones that come with most sets. Only purchased this for the butterflies anyway, so I'm sure we can eventually donate the unwanted stuff.

So I don't post a lot of reviews, but this product has been such a glowing success I thought I should write something to praise it. I have two cats - a year old and a 6 month old, and they simply cannot get enough of this toy. The little one I have to monitor closely while we play, because he will not stop chasing it even when he's completely out of breath and clearly needs a break. The older one has taken on a 'big brother' persona since getting the other kitten, and rarely deigns to chase toys anymore, but he accidentally goes for this one when he forgets himself (when little one isn't around he'll play till his heart's content).The wand is what does it I think - it's very 'flicky', so the toy moves more than a solid plastic stick, and they seem to really love that. I just should add: the clasp to attach the butterflies to the string is very stiff. I appreciate it once the toys are on because they're not coming off (even after hours of play) it's basically a safety pin mechanism, but it confused me initially as to how to get the toy to attach. But once it's on, it's on. Highly recommend!

My cat loves to play with the butterfly teasers - the butterflies are good quality - very crinkly & durable. I've given 5 stars though the handle to the ribbon-teaser could have been longer - I bought mostly for the butterflies, my cat is not bothered about the play-balls. The box they were packaged in was ridiculously large but think this is more down to Amazon than the seller.

Well, most of the toys have had to be binned as they are definitely NOT safe for kitty. Could not work out how on earth one was supposed to attach the wand to the butterflies as there was no visible way of releasing the clip - and the plastic wire on the wand can cause nasty cuts to both kitty and human - certainly would not leave my cat to plat with this unsupervised. The leather print wand has proved popular, and the butterflies and the mice as stand-alone toys.
