Work great with the included tinder and more tinder is available on Amazon. Does not produce as hot of a spark as a ferro rod but if you have a good tinder with you these do work great.

Amazing fire starter! Easy to use. You feel amazing when you spark the wheel and the cotton swab lights right up. Best find on Amazon. I've bought 3 so far. One for my truck, one for my backyard, and one for my wife's car.

This is like a toy, not worth 5$. If this was military use, then I fill bad for this guys. Cheap small plastic box with sticker on it. Started is made from cheap plastic to. Cheap, Cheap, Cheap, beware. For this money you can buy mutch better starter kit.
