I spent a lot of time reading reviews and watching youtube videos leading up to my first cajon purchase. I could not have been happier. The price point and build quality of this cajon are stellar in my opinion, but what will really impress you is the sound quality.Right out of the box, I was confused by the sound quality. It wasn't what I expected, but now that I've been playing it for a few months, I can tell you that it's because I just didn't know what I was doing. But now... I get solid bass, resonant tom-like midrange, and two distinctly different snare sounds - one is lower and meaty and the other is higher and snappy (my favorite for playing along with funky tunes).Unlike some instruments, the learning process is extremely fun. I'm at a point where I'm working on fine tuning my playing and developing technique, but I have zero doubts about this cajon fitting the needs of any jam session I can throw at it.

Absolutely beautiful instrument handmade in Spain. This is an excellent cajon at this price point period especially if you can get it on a deal like I did. I'm very happy with it. This is a special instrument for people who appreciate attention to detail.

I'm liking the sound it contributes to our music jams. It's not what I expected but that is my fault. I confused it for a different model from the same maker when I looked for a demo video apart from Amazon. The model I thought I was ordering was a step up with a deeper bass response and adjustable snare strings . But as it turns out I like this model for what it is.
