If you have to sink posts... this is what you need. Its cheap enough that if you destroy it you won't cry (like you will with a high quality level)... and unlike the quality levels... you don't have to dance back and forth checking different sides of the post for plumb as you set it.Works great with metal (ferrous) posts using its built in magnets, has hooks for driving half penny nails to hang from on wood, or use the built in rubber band to hang it around a post. All in all very satisfied and will likely buy a backup for when I inevitably run over this one or lose it.

I used this to align a flagpole I installed, and was able to adjust the angle to get a perfect vertical positioning before pouring the concrete. It fit easily and was equally easy to read.

The overall quality of the item is good but i wish the elastic band was more durable or sturdy. I ended up using one of my wife's hair bands to get a more secure flush fit against the fence posts I was setting.

This made setting a new fence post plumb relatively easy. Much better than using a separate level on each side where you can lose plumb on one side while you check the other side. It saved a lot of time. I don't think the rubber band provided to hold it on the post will last long though. I will have to figure out another way to do that when it breaks. Any kind of big rubber band would work though. The band provided is sized for 4x4 posts.

I have used this device to level and to straighten the fence post as my friend poured the concrete around the fence post in the hole. A nifty little tool and worth the price

I used these at work to keep 6’ long ground screws level. We would check every few rotations and adjust. The level worked out great. It is magnetic enough that we did not need to use the band to any tape to hold it in place.

If your goal is basic, likely 1 or 2 time project use, it works fine. Don’t get it if you are relying on the ‘magnet’ or the pos band it comes with.

Cost a fortune with postage in the UK. One of the vials is out of true - the magnets are not magnetic and it is stamped made in China.

The pieces itself is solid and cheaper then same quality in stores. Has magnets too.Cons : the elastic (that is not much elastic) provided to snap around the hooks is the low link. It will dryup and break. Barley fit around a 4x4. I perfer the usual strechy tissue band with holes. At least it's easy to find in tissue stores and will fit any size.
