Works great on my truck a 1997 GMC c1500 5.7l 350. I’ve always had an issue where when I went to start my truck it would hesitate like the starter was weak but the starter when it was cold started up right away first crank. After putting this heat shielding on, my problem has completely gone away even after sitting in the truck with the a/c on for awhile and turning it off and right back on there no more hesitation to start back up. Also, the metal zip ties can be tighten with pliers and cut with wire cutters.
