5/8/25 It took a couple of weeks after writing the first review for me to realize that the Girls weren’t scratching anymore. I looked closely at them and there were no, as in Zero fleas! We took an RV trip from near Houston, to WA state, and back. It took us three months. The Girls were flea and tick free! In a few nighttime bug attacks, the collars were not able to repel all the bugs. But I didn’t find anything that would. My Girls are small. Instead of cutting the collars I wrapped them around their necks and fastened the entire collar on. I Highly Recommend These Collars!!! I’m glad others have had a good experience with these. Unfortunately, they did nothing when I put them on my two little girls. Lucy started scratching approximately an hour after I put it on her. I waited a bit and that did pass. But then both girls started scratching within three days because they had some fleas. Ok, remove fleas and see if it was a fluke. Nope, next day more fleas. I live in the south, fleas and ticks are a constant problem. I had hoped for better than what I got. My girls give two paws down. I wish I hadn’t wasted my money on these collars.

The collar fit my pup great. Only one needed to be cut a bit. Thats actually a great thing! If the collar is too long it can be cut with everyday house scissors, but don’t mistake that with weak. The thickness is about half an inch and really sturdy. I really like the smell of the collar too. It has an herbal-spearmint-ish smell too it. It’s not overbearing. There are notches and loops to adjust the collar similar to the belt. It’s very easy to open and put on the dogs. Took me less than 2 minutes for both my pups. They seems to not mind them on their necks. No scratching, irritation, or nibbling at all!

I have a 14-1/2 pound dog and this collar is supposed to go to 18 pounds. Yeah right!!! It barely fits my boy! Too late to return by 1 day, and it figures!!! The collar doesn't work for fleas or ticks. I wanted something natural instead of chemicals, but that didn't work out with this product. 8 months protection??? Please, don't make me laugh!!! There is absolutely no smell from it a month later. At least it did smell good for about a week and a half. But what good does that do to help my boy, pray tell??? I guess it's back to the topical, at least they do their job as described!!! Good luck if anyone purchases this product. Maybe it will work for your pet

I got 2 of these, for a Malti-mix and a hound dog- so if you see this same review on another size, yes its a copy and paste. I live in the south, the south south so it doesn't ever get cold enough to kill insects (pretty sure the state bird is not the pelican, rather the mosquito), but I got these to augment a weekly bath in flea shampoo and daily garlic tabs. Y'all the fleas here are persistant. But long story short my doggos are family and bed hop so I don't need to just protect them but the humans they love as well. These collars WORK, they don't seem to bother the hound I have noticed a MARKED absence of scratiching (can't trust the Malti everything bothers that one- like a overly tired toddler with sharp teeth), they don't smell like chemicals, are not oily or dusty, and due to my sheer laziness we even skipped bath week and NO FLEAS. I do recommend that you go ahead and get the stuff to spray bedding and what not as they repell not kill, but once you have the fleas dead more won't come back. As to price I am great with that after having spent tons on oral, topical, washes, sprays and other types of flea/ tick deterrants and murderants. The package says they are good for 4 months, I am questioning that but just due to location because anywhere it is swampy and 75 in January isn't like most places. But even if they only last 2 months I woudl give a 5 star review.
